1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

Ok I don't want to get into the "originals v. clone" debate.

I know that if I really like something I would buy the original, and from browsing posts I know that I'm not the only one. So with that said, what are the original/authentics that are in the arsenal of our members?

Mine are a genuine APV atom and 4 Atmomixani nemesis (Vaperev edition, nemesis legion edition, vaporwall edition, and matte edition)? So what are yours? :)

Stingray (clone as well), Caravella, Mephisto, (clone as well) Plume veil (clone as well), Turtle Ship.

I only got the Nemesis in a clone and wasn't too impressed after all the hype about them. Mainly because of the firing button. Perhaps I should try an authentic after all.

Wanting to switch to box mods now. I am trying out a couple of high Watt designs when they come through on pre order and the first Mech I get will be a Slug by Steel Punk. That is the next big purchase.

Same as you I have clones as well and cannot understand why there is so much bloody tension about the clone vs authentic preference.

i guess all authentic i have is the cheap stuff :D like the Authentic Nautilus, Authentic Kangertech ...
    as for APV / MechMods,
i guess only the ProVari and the Magneto and Innokin Stuff

.... however i do consider buying a Scarabaeus from SmokerStore once its released ... its the first Mechmod which seems interesting to me, the Valkyrie by VA seems the nicest, but since its only a hybrid device its not really worth spending too much monies into it.

and if the P3 will be only 250 bucks, i wanna get a P3 asap as well

So far I only got The Ramble, but I'm so happy with that one that I plan to get Prince of Darkness by Artopoulos and one Nemesis. Also 2 Russian 91% v2.

Nothing original with RBAs. All of my disposable coil systems are original, as far as I know. All of my MODs are original, as far as I know.

I have no plans to spend money on any original RBAs. The only thing I will do differently is only buy clones that are well made, as I learned my lesson by purchasing a Kayfun that is a poor quality copy. The 200 baht I saved was definitely not worth it.

The only RBA I have plans to purchase in the future is a Kayfun 3.1. Right now all I have for Kayfuns is a poorly made Lite and a well made Mini V2.1 ES. The purchase of the ES taught me the difference in saving a couple of hundred baht.

Do Ovale's count? I have two of them. One that was used for 2 days and another that seems to be used more as an ohm reader.

If I could have an original it would be a Trinity or MCR mechanical mod. But if I had to pay for them, I'd go with the Trinity ;)

I like originals as far as quality goes...especially when it comes to the feel and action of the switch but if a clone is more readily available and it has been well-received or I have personally tried it out and like it, then I will usually go for that. Budget also plays a part where I can enjoy more variety of things by saving a good amount of money in choosing clones for a significant part of my collection. I probably wont get another high-end original until sometime in December or January when I go back to the USA for a visit.

Original Mod: The Ramble, Givo, Turtle Ship V1, Cloupor T5, Vaporshark DNA 30, Zmax and Sigelei 20W are all authentic mods.

Original RBA: Kayfun Lite V2, and a Russian 91

Cloned mods: Turtle Ship (V2?), 4Nine, 2 Cloupor Hanas

Cloned RDA: 2 Plumeveils, Magma, Zenith, 3D

Cloned RBA: Orchid, Fogger V4, Taifun GT, 3 Kayfun Lite V2 clones, Aqua

The rest are various authentic clearomizers.

I don't have any clones, but I'm not fussed about anything much - I'm happy buying originals, but others can please themselves.
I don't buy big name mods, I buy remaindered tubes & put decent switches & hybrid adaptors in them. It's what I like to do.

I have the VS DNA 30 and rDNA 30, Aspire Mini Nautilus.
    That's it.

I have the KayFun clone, and won' buy the real deal as the clone s just fine.
I have a SS Stingray clone, never use it.
