Now that you mention it...I have no clue...

Maybe it was a hype and people are more comfortable with Japanese cotton...

No bad news that I heard of. I still use rayon probably 80 to 90% of the time. Still feel it's better than any cotton variety for most applications but there are some where I do prefer cotton.

Ive only recently clanged over to fiber freaks and have to say that with cotton I was having dry hits when vaping and not waiting long enough to give the wick time to fill again. I have noticed a big improvment

Yep, I was on rayon for a good while, but had wicking problems, and gave FF a go and never looked back, it's all I use and all I will use

I'm sure you know already that FF is rayon. Noting for the benefit of others and believe it could be better in some cases. Personally, I like it a lot too but don't feel it improved anything over "standard" rayon. In fact, I found FF a little less easy to work with. At least the density/type of FF I have used. It's a minor a point though that I'd call them equal performance overall for my wicking use.

I've had wicking issues or less than ideal performance with Rayon in certain devices that for whatever reason I could not solve but using good quality organic cotton did the trick.

Hey, I wasn't meaning to insult! I really think -V- ( and Mack) already knew so only said something so others would know! Hehe

Fact is, FF, while technically rayon, has a different texture and feel and could work well in some situations where standard rayon would not. Vice versa too I think.

Yes FF is rayon, it comes in 2 different density's, not sure if that makes a difference. For those of us that like nice square sheets to cut into strips the same as JC its great. I keep one piece in a small ziplock in my build kit and it lasts for weeks.

I feel FF works better than plain rayon however I join @Scratchy on this, it's not as convenient to work with.

I use Beauty Coil Rayon in 95% of my builds. In most of my builds I am looking for good wicking.
The other 5% I am looking for the wick to act as a reservoir and find a well rolled cotton wick to swell with more juice rather than slouch as rayon tends to.
