    Calories in, Calories out.

    Vaping actually reduces my appetite.

My metabolism is pretty fast. If food is cooked for me I have no problem tucking away 6,7,8000 calories a day. I'm naturally skinny but need approx 3600 calories to maintain weight. Cooking for myself and since I started vaping I am struggling.

Actually lost one more kg and is at 77kg about now. I usually bike 200km + in a week, and after smoke stop it's even easier and more fun.

    no ...

probably your food is tasting better after knocking off the 'coffin nails'

so, it's back to the normal tried and trusted formula:
the only way to keep your weight down is lots of exercise, cut out fatty/sugary/high carbo foods and watch the alcohol intake as well
    (nothing has changed)

It's getting cold, and i better put my long pants on. That was what my wife told me, but Ups my jeans and other pants don't fit. Since i started vaping my weight went up from 69 kg to now 79 kg, that's 10 kg. My daughter just told me today I look like Santa. So besides I have to buy devices, batteries, juice, spare coils and the like, i also have to buy some new cloth. Good I vape for my health and not for saving money...:surprised:

Easy solution to avoid weight gain.

    Vape more . . . . . eat less. :rolling laugh:

Weight gain/loss is almost entirely calories in and calories out. Anybody claiming they "only eat 1 meal a day" and still gain weight have absolutely no idea how many calories they're putting in their bodies. When people make statements like that, they're usually not counting snacks, desserts, sugary drinks, fruit, fruit drinks, and other extremely high calorie foods that will make you fat as **** very quickly.

Regardless of that, eating 1 meal a day is unhealthy. Ideally you should be eating 4-5 small meals per day. I'd also recommend grabbing this app:
Free Calorie Counter, Diet & Exercise Journal | MyFitnessPal.com

Which, if you actually use it, will tell you exactly how many calories you're putting in your system.
Cut out the sodas and fruit drinks, eat more meat/vegetables which will make you feel full longer, and maybe think about exercise.

To answer the original question, though, nicotine suppresses appetite, which is why people gain weight when they quit, so you can't blame it on the vaping. You're just eating more.

Everybody should absolutely exercise, but as far as weight loss goes, it's 80% diet 20% exercise. You can easily eat your way past any calories burned with exercise.

Having counted calories for several years I have no issue whatsoever with gaining or losing weight, everybody's BMR is different. I can maintain weight at 3.5k calories but know plenty of people that put on a shit load of weight eating 2.5k.

Consistency is key. Tracking calories takes seconds nowadays with the use of a smartphone and the internet.
