Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

    Hey guys,

Is there much point to dripping anymore?

I've seen some diehard guys swear that dripping is the only way to vape but i'm not sure if there's actually any weight to it. Or is it more of a 'you're not a real photographer unless you're shooting in Manual with 100ISO film'.

Is it work the risk of dry hits and juice wastage?

    Opinions?

I drip because I find the flavor and vape better in many builds, parallel and clapton coils f.x. , simple as that. I use RBA's / RTA's too, likes the variety. Guess it's easiest to just to try out a dripper and see if you like it.
I don't think the difference up to a RDA is so big today as it used to be. A nice relaxed brake with a dripper in the morning is a very good start for me :)

There is still a difference in dripping over subihm tanks atm, but honestly I don't drip anymore, after nearly 2 years of it. Mainly I got tired of ripping off the top cap and topping up the wick when I was out. I use Steam Crave tanks now nad find them extremely close to dripping for both flavour and vapor as there is such a wide range of coils you can put in them and the way they work. Also when I want I can up the power and still get a cooler vape than dripping as the vapor has to travel further to your mouth, a bonus for me.

Tried it once or twice, didn't really know what I was doing back then though and it lasted all of 5 minutes before I gave up with it.
Tried a few Subohm tanks, fun for a bit but also couldn't be bothered with them
Stick with my RTAs and mouth to lung, happy with that.

I have one dripper that I use when at home, I like to be able to change juice flavors quickly and easily. It's also handy for travelling through airports especially when I have a stopover and want to vape at an airport whilst waiting for the next plane.

Very rare for me to get a dry hit and there is no wastage of juice.

I'm primarily dripping. There are some tanks that get closer to approximating the taste of a dripper, but the dripper still has an advantage with taste and I haven't found a tank that matches a dripper.

if i am out and about i am using a subohm tank. if i am at home or in the office i am primarily dripping. i have yet to find a tank that comes close to a well built dripper. as an added bonus, wire is cheaper than per-assembled coils. I have never been able to get into RTA, too much trouble trying to get them to wick properly IMO.

I drip because RDA's still give me more airflow plus I can vape different flavors with ease, right now I have griffin tank, Im happy with it but even with the airflow fully open it is still incomparable with RDA airflow, though it delivers a good taste and vapor as well. Conclusion, Direct lung hits i prefer dripper with wide airflow, Mouth to lung im happy with an RTA, everything still depends on my mood how to vape.

No secret that I'm a die-hard MTL vaper. Nonetheless, I do have a couple of drippers that I use at home for tasting juices. But they'll never replace my tanks (and never leave the house)! :)

I'm definitely the wrong person to ask. As of right now I don't own an RTA and I only have 1 tank. The tank goes on my Mini Volt for the pocket. For me RDAs are practically the only way I vape. My MOD selection is one sided as well. Other than the Mini Volt I have one other regulated MOD. All the rest are mechs.

RDA'S are great for home usage to me. Switching out the cotton easily, bigger build deck, bigger airflow.

But right now there are quite a few RTA's which can do a similar job although a slightly less airy draw or less building space but it comes really close (Griffin, Gemini, etc) so there really isn't a point to drip for me personally when I can do the same on a rta with no dry hits and no hassle of 'painting' the wicks so it doesn't leak.

I believe the only reason that I still prefer dripping (I have a couple of tanks also) is that I vape about 6 different juices on the go. I never take the cap off to drip -straight through a wide bore delrin tip.
