    ^The worst beach in California is better than the best beach in Thailand. IMO, people who think Thailand's beaches are great must never have seen a real and proper beach before.

    In all cases: clean beaches, water you can swim in, no inundation by hawkers, no jet ski scams. These are proper beaches.

    If you like Cali beaches, have at it. I've been to some of those Cali beaches, they're mostly good for strolling. Personally I wouldn't swim there. Cali beaches the water is kind of cool with strong tides and I think the water is not clean and polluted, you'll see decomposing kelp and algae also.

    Referring back to the article, for me Thailand is still one of the best countries to visit.

    The beaches are some of the best in the world, the food is wonderful, accommodation is above average. The Thais however are not as peaceful as they manage to make people think. A certain level of crime is rampant almost everywhere in Asia, but if I comare with South America or other parts of the world it's still better in Thailand. Disdain against visitors is actually not targeted at everyone but specifically at Chinese tourists.

    I am however much bothered by thinking about the future. There is a complete useless generation coming up into repsonsibility, whom the parents have bought them diplomas and paved all their way with money.
