    Hi guys,

Just wanted to share my "frustration" regarding the MT Baker juices. I love this brand, I really enjoy vaping some of their juices a lot and I think the price is very correct considering the quality.

I just bought today 3 bottles of 15ml, and that is where my frustration starts.

On their website, MT Baker advise us to steep each juices from 14 days to a month in order to get the best out of them. Right. Bu when I buy a juice, I want to vape it ! I am not buying a Chateau Lafitte that I intend to drink for my daughter 18's birthday.

So my question is, why MT Baker don't steep these juices themselves and deliver them ready to vape ? Some might say because they are making it fresh. Sure, but fresh does not mean "on order" which means they are obviously stocking their juices. So like a vine producer, why can't they mange a stock turnover of steeped juices ?

I feel that the steep thing is a "plan B" sorta thing, like if you don't like the juice just yet, don't worry you will (and in a month anyway even if you don't, you won't complain about it as you will probably be vaping something else).

Just my opinion but I really don't see the point of this steeping recommendation and it is torturing to see these 3 new flavors sitting on the shelves for a month before tasting them to their best flavor.

CHeers and vape on y'all !

Everyone from Mt baker vapor ,to Glv even Vapormist recommend steeping juices ,Im sure if you wanted the juices ready to vape the price would be maybe up tp 50% more.Id rather pay a little less and steep myself ,if worried about time, order a couple of weeks before you want them .

Why would it be more expensive ? It's just about storing them a little..

Thanks for the links Byoung. I read several ways of steeping, breathing, with air and or water, by shaking the bottles or leaving them open and repeat the process, etc..

Still, cannot understand why the companies are not doing it in their factories.

I don't bother with steeping although I guess some juice does steep because I can't vape it all at once but a month sounds like overkill.

I would try a bit straight away then every few days try a bit more and if you are not noticing any change after x amount of days then go ahead and hook into it. What's the point of waiting if its not getting better?

There is a cost associated with storing and tracking the storage times of each batch. I can definitely see how it would drive the price up.

    - - - Updated - - -

With the arrival of yesterday's shipments I have over 30 bottles of juice now. So I decided to take over half and do a quick steep and 12 -20 hour breath.

According to one video I watched, 12 hours is what most juice manufacturers recommend. I may let them breath more than 12 hours simply because it hits at 10pm and I probably should not try and mess with sticking little spouts on 22 bottles after several beers have been consumed.

Doing that many bottles at one time is tricky, because they are so easy to knock over. But I found that 22 bottles fit inside a plastic ice cream container perfectly, so there is no wiggle room for any of them to get spilled. Thus, I decided to do 22 bottles. :)

All of the bottles are form the same manufacturer and I have vaped from several of them, so hopefully I will be able to determine if there was any improvement. I realize each juice flavor may have a different breath time, but I don't have the patience to mess with that. Although I may decide to breath again any in the batch that still end up tasting awful.

Yes I saw his video and that is the reason I only let my juice in the closet, shaking them several times a day, but not more.

Plus, I am really not experience enough to notice any change yet ^^

It has accumulated over several orders. I'm testing to see what flavors I like

    - - - Updated - - -

It was the first video on the subject that I watched. Kind of scared me off a bit. But after watching others I'm starting to get a feel for what I need to do. The reality is, with the Chinese juices, there probably isn't any need for steeping, but I'm thinking breathing might make a difference.

I think with the chinese juices your right in your assumption about not needing them to rest ,you probably have juice that was made up 6 months or even longer ago .I got myself some of vapormist juice and now had it for over a week and its made a hell of a difference especially the tobacco and the butterscotch flavour.

Not only that the factories they are made in had very big high spec machines, and they spinner machines and stuff I am sure those juices are ready from the moment they leave the factory....

RIP is talking about it in his video and I have read it on a French forum as well, the "breathing" method can make the juice lose his flavor quite fast.

Therefore many advise the steeping only. Anyway once you have a lot of juice, they are stweping whether you want it or not.
