SMOK XPRO M80 PLUS First looks

    So i bought one a few days ago and it should have been on the way to me from the Uk and be with me in 7 days

    SMOK EPRO M80 PLUS
    Variable Wattage 6w-80w
    Resistance 0.2ohm- 4..0ohms
    Tempreture Control
    Oled Display Screen
    4400mah Built in Battery
    Spring Loaded Center Pin
    Dimensions 85mm*22mm*55mm
    Made from Aluminium and Zinc Alloy
    time and date display

    But after a friend receiving it and yesterday and testing it, and also all the stuff now out the last few days on the net about it we decided to send it back to the vendor for a refund as it is a flawed mod which doesn't do the temperature mode as it should

    For the price and what it should have been able to do it was going to be a hot mod, it still could be as I am sure Smok will fix this temp ramp up time problem, but when who knows..

    It's available at a few Chinese vendors, this being one of them, mainly on pre order, so worth watching to see what happens

    So what's the flaw with the temp mode?

    Well it has around a 5 second ramp up time to get to the temperature, this is shown in the below review.
    Also the mod was also put on my friend's scope and it is Pulse Width Modulation aka 'rattle snake' chip, which is not a flat signal like you get with most mods now which are DC-DC
    And once it hits the TC limit, the mod just stops, it doesn`t regulate at all.
    To get more life out of it you have to repress the button until it stops again
    Normal VW is absolutely fine.

    A good review to watch:


    Conclusion, at the moment Don't Buy it
    But I will keep an eye out and if they fix the problems then I will be buying it again....as the price for what it is if it works is great..
    So maybe I will be able to do a real First Looks at it.

    Interesting that it has the same 4400 mAh battery rating as the iStick 50W...wonder if it's the same battery.

    There's 2x 18650 2200mah batteries inside the eLeaf iStick, might be the same capacity batteries inside the SMOK X. Biggest capacity 18650 I saw is about 3400mah (don't know about the drain or amps tho).

    "10 W enough for this kind of atomizer", he sets it to 10 W, vapes and immediately afterwards his face sours - "Oh it's a burning test. 7 W enough I think".

    Later picks up an RTA named Hercules and pronounces it "her-kels". Vapes and then immediately afterwards spits toward the floor exclaiming "awesome".

    "We call this Kayfun V8....Do you know Kayfun V8? It's not Kayfun V3, not Kayfun V4. It's Kayfun V8!"

    "iStick 30W is the newest, best more in the world, yeah! You will take care of it!"

    Smok need to understand that it's not just the ramp up time issue with this mod it's the whole temp mode which is just one big fail from them

    According to what I've heard they have no clue about how the temp mode should work and their engineers can't fix that problem.....

    So a very interesting...lol... statement from Smok about the Temp feature:
    How to upgrade your M80 plus

    What this means is Smoke have NO clue about the whole Temp feature full stop..lol...
