Simple, Near Perfect, Spaced Coils...

This may or may not be common knowledge but I've found the simplest way to space coils is to wrap a micro coil as normal (I prefer to use a jig than a screwdriver nowadays).
Then using my nails, if I have any at the time, hold the last wrap at either end (whilst still on the tool used to wrap around) and pull them apart until the coil is approximately twice as long.
Then simply squeeze the ends back together into a micro coil and hold for a second or two...
Release and job done

I just use a screw or bolt and wrap in the grooves. But this works just fine as well
