Not personally a fan of Rips but a nice bit of drama all the same...
I don't have a problem with him getting paid to review products but is he getting paid to give favourable reviews? An honest reviewer would of torn the Praxis a new one.

I do have a problem with his "I'm just doing it for you guys, I don't get paid" speech he makes every other video though.

It seems nobody in the 'community' even likes the dude. Does he attend vape meets or even interact with other reviewers? That is irrelevant though...

Odd thing is that I had heard this before about him and his "handlers" and how you have to pay him to review, but he did a review on the veritas from us and we didn't pay him he bought it himself. In fact he actually called the store and talked to me trying to troll me about needing a part for the atty. After trying to help him get the part he revealed who he was at the very end. He said wasn't going to let people know who he got it from if we weren't a stand up vendor and that he appreciated all our help and that he felt comfortable sending people our way knowing that we'd take care of them. Obviously I can only speak from my experience with him tho.

Kinda the same story with us. He trolled the shop and cs phone lines. Once he had Joe on the phone he told who he was.
We didn't pay for our review. He tried to buy the product, but we did donate it to him. Only thing that bummed me out was how the review went down. He said what he liked and didn't like, but he acted like a damn salesman for it. I don't watch him enough on reviews to know if he is always in Billy May's mode, but he definitely was for our review

Wow, calling the store with a fabricated issues just to see if the customer service passes muster for recommendation is definitely above and beyond

Honestly I was happy to see that he was doing his homework. I can't speak on the issue at hand other than what I've experienced from him and he in my case was nice and down to earth. Told me when the video would be posting and asked for nothing in return. Based on what I had heard before, it wasn't what I was expecting tbh

all those reviewers are pretty much asshats...I especially love it when they go after each other for stuff like this because every one of them is in it for free product and they say anything less they are liars. I do think PBusardo is a great watch and tells it like it is but he is profiting from the exposure as well.

The only difference between any of us and all those reviewers is the fact that we don't upload videos to youtube to be in the cool club...and our opinions are much more relevant than theirs, because they are ours.

 

I don't care what happen in the Backround because i want to see a good Review with the Information i need !

 

If someone is being paid in the background to give a positive review then you're not getting the information needed.

I said a while back about RT editing out the removal and replacement of the Praxis switch. That he was paid to not even mention it and give a glowing review makes perfect sense to me.

I think what has actually kicked this off is a company approached him to review an app of some description, apparently he wanted a stake in the company to give a positive one.
Again, I am just passing on info, not stating it as fact.

 

So than he didn't get Money for sure because he said often enough what he don't like between his review's !
It's just a fight between all the big Youtuber's IMHO

When I look at the different reviews also the Danish/German ones, you sometimes get the feeling that the companies either let the reviewer have the devices for free after the test and in some cases also sponsoring some give away's. I look in the reviews for practical information, since I can look at datasheets or the like but what I need is to know how to handle that device and if it's a RBA or RTA, how to coile that thing. Mostly I already have made my mind up so I'm not paying attention on the reviewers recommendation. So it might be an internal fight between reviewers, not the first time that happend. One of the German reviewers I watch a lot, is also under attack from his German colleges, so it's nothing new in this. The best person to tell, what to buy is still one self.
