Shipping takes forever to me it seems, and then i read this ..

the past weeks i had the impression already that whatever i orderd, seems to take forever to deliver, no matter from where i ordered even stuff from Europe took way longer then i was used to ... (saying i am still waiting for a letter after 3 weeks now )

I recall that our @Axel which always made those stunning photographs used to work on a freighter, so therefore was hoping he might could tell me if this article is authentic.

I ahve fouind that if itr doesn't go by registered it either takes for ever or never gets here.

I have found Europe, USA and Australia to take about 2-3 weeks regardless of where they come from

 

Too many variables with overseas shipping. My quickest from China has been 11 days (FT x1 Cvapor x∞). Fastest overall was from Quack's USA which arrived in 6 days I think. Shame their entire range is garbage

 

I am in the marine sector - and certainly for bulk carriers this has slowed down and is indeed very true - they take charters that barely keep the vsl operation afloat.

Container vsls are a whole other ball of worms -

I ordered from vaperev and arrived in under two weeks - priority/expedited - but have been still waiting normal usps first class from good life now goin into fourth week - tho I heard non expedited is 'safer' wrt customs

My china stuff is apparently on its way to bkk - doing this for first time too - so learning on the go

Mail still comes by freighter/ vessels nowadays? That's a whole big package to warrant shipping by ship

 

Sorry for the late answer, I am presently onboard a vessel without internet access... I just see your post now because I arrived in port and got 3G network ! But I am not on the containers market, I am on a tanker... So, I think the article is true, the market is very bad nowodays, but I cannot say more ! Oh yes, the tankers market is bad too these days !!!

 

Hmmm...so what I guess is being said is that if I wanted to ship a bunch of crap to Thailand (I dunno like computers and projectors) now is a good time.
