1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

One thing I notice is hardly any posts on here about the USA made Provari
I remember once I had a Thread about them, and noticed a few members actually have one

I've had both the full size and mini in the past, sold them both.
Although I often think about getting another mini with extension cap again.

It was the menu system which I didn't like on them, i like the 3 clicks on 3 clicks off style.
But i read a lot of Provari users just don't bother switching theirs off.

    Anyway, what do you think?
Stick with the ever present Chinese VV mods coming out or just get a USA made Provari and be done with it all??

    I never turn mine off.

I rather spend money to get a single good mod than to spend all the cash on various vv/vw mods.

I use my provari with carto tanks and a mech mod with a trident dripper.

I dont see why i would need that many vv/vw chinese mods.

I thought that would get you posting something mate

I have to agree though, it's been going though my head a lot of late.
I got myself thinking that as it wasn't VW then I didn't want one.

But thinking about it now, VW is great for the people who change their tanks and omhs all the time, but for me I always use iClear 30 tanks, always 2 ohm coils, so there's no need for VW.
Once the ProVari is set to the Voltage I like then that's it.

Also VW doesn't control the juice you're vaping only the ohm, some juices taste better on different settings than others, the VW won't do this anyway..

Just need to sell my 134 first :good idea::good idea:

I dont own a Provari but... about teh VV Vs VW debate, I changed my stance. I used to belive VW to be far superior to VV (which it is, in a THEORETICAL way) but find myself more and more often using VV...

reason being that MODs do not always have an accurate reading of the resistance. hence, I can see the same atty ranging from 1.8 to 2.2 depending on [pick one: wheater? time of the day? mood of my wife? ...]

anyway, whether VV or VW are nice and your personal setting is not written in the stone.

I've sometimes thought about getting the old man to send me one over, but I think they're a bit dated.
I know they are well built bla bla bla but I think I'll wait until they come out with a newer model so I can vape at the same wattage every time

I think the provari is the iphone of vaping, an outdated over expensive device thats hyped into being better, but relly isnt any better than a good china made product.

What ?, maybe i aint reading it right but the ohms is not controlled in any way, in effect when you change the watts it change the volts its to sides of the same thing, in watts mode it is just using ohm's law to change the volts, so if you have a juice that you like to vape on lower volts, lower the watts the result will be the same and visa versa.:vaping:

    Re: Provari, where's the love?

I almost exclusively drip these days at .8 to 1.0 ohm coils so my Provari does not get much use. The Provari will not fire below 1.2 ohms. With the DNA20/30 chip I believe sub ohm coils fire just fine so waiting on a decent mod with a DNA chip.

The Provari is quality - It just feels great in your hand. I have 2 KTS mods which fire brilliantly but you can't disguise the fact that they are cheaply made and look like cr@p after a couple of weeks.

I definately prefer the GGTS style button of the KTS/Dreamtube and the Provari/roller buttons for vaping -I do not like the bottom switches at all.

I can honestly say that the Provari is the only PV that I have never had any issues with - not a hint of one in terms of firing/cleaning/performance.
