1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

Ton of local Facebook & Line sellers making quite a bit of money, if he was moving that much gear a quick "fine" might get him off any charges. The people in the photo don't look as serious as the drug busts which leads me to believe so. Maybe they're thinking "wow, fluffy steam clouds can line our pockets too!" :chinrub:

They're not exactly discrete. It'll be interesting to see what happens with his websites; If they remain one can only assume what the outcome of this raid was.

Pretty sure he will be up and running in 2 weeks, like others that were raided before and are still doing business.

They just want their piece of the pie.

I'd say that since he just made a new post on his FB page a few minutes ago, it remains status quo.

Unless he's been turned...and the BiB are using him to get to his customers. Stranger things have happened here. ;)

Update from British Embassy in Bangkok

You can’t bring vaporisers, eg, e-cigarettes and e-baraku, and refills into Thailand. These items are likely to be confiscated, and you could be fined or sent to prison for up to 10 years if convicted. The sale or supply of e-cigarettes and similar devices is also banned and you could face a heavy fine or up to 5 years imprisonment if found guilty.

    Thailand travel advice - GOV.UK

    **Updated**
Regarding the update from the British Embassy.....

Does this mean, this is now law??

If so.... Thailand has scored an 'own goal', as they will have lost thousands,or millions of tourists..

AFAIK, there haven't been any new laws passed (the powers that be have bigger fish to fry at present). Rather, the British Embassy is advising its nationals that this is how the existing laws are being applied currently...which is consistent with what we've heard in this and other threads on the board. :(

It pays to be careful during these times!

The situation is very unclear. My daughter was at the large weekend market here in Pattaya on this past Friday and she told me there were many vendors selling vape gear and e-liquid openly. She also said that some vendors had a very large selection of product on display. I guess not everyone is worried. I am.

The UK Foreign Office are always among the first to issue warnings regarding travel, with good reason. The minute many of my countrymen arrive somewhere with a bit of sun and unlimited beer for a few weeks, their brains are left at Immigration.
