Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that, for a while after you've brushed your teeth, most vape juices taste rank?

I've resigned myself to menthol vapes in the morning, and not vaping before bed just to avoid the unpleasantness.

    Or...any other strange life/vape interactions?

That's exactly the reason I have made brushing my teeth a weekly activity

There is another solution...just stop brushing your teeth. :D

But seriously, I've noticed that my juices taste different (flavor is muted...but not bad) immediately after brushing. I figure it takes a bit of time for the taste buds to shrug off the taste of the toothpaste...coffee or almost any liquid helps to accelerate the process.

I know. Yellow teeth. But I myself don't really care. Some flavours are too delicious to be spoiled by toothpaste.

I thought that everything tasted bad after you brush your teeth (or tooth, for certain members). I use an electric brush, and try not to get it on my tongue when I don't want to loose my sense of taste. (Sometimes I brush my tongue too, it helps with the bad breath thing.) You could try brushing without getting anything on your tongue, and that helps a bit with the taste.

Yes Orange Juice. I don't think there's much worse than that first mouthful of orange juice after brushing your teeth.

    Interesting read from Google.
    summary :
That's mainly because of the Type of toothpaste you're using.

Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), or sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) Both chemicals (surfactants) are wetting agents added to toothpastes to create foam and make the paste easier to spread around your mouth. They're also important ingredients in detergents, fabric softener, insecticides.

While making brushing our teeth a lot easier, they do more than make foam. Both SLES and SLS mess with our taste buds in two ways. One, they suppress the receptors on our taste buds that perceive sweetness, inhibiting our ability to pick up the sweet notes of food and drink. And, as if that wasn't enough, they break up the phospholipids on our tongue. These fatty molecules inhibit our receptors for bitterness and keep bitter tastes from overwhelming us, but when they're broken down by the surfactants in toothpaste, bitter tastes get enhanced.

So, anything you eat, drink or VAPE after you brush is going to have less sweetness and more bitterness than it normally would. Is there any end to this torture?

Suggested Solution : (1) You don't need foam for good toothpaste, and there are plenty out there that are SLES/SLS-free. (2) Brush your teeth only after as much of vaping and also breakfast.
