Does any members have experience using PP from Thailand when their address is registered in another country?

My credit card on my PP account has my Australian address on it But I want the item shipped to Thailand.....

Are there any problems with this, as I want to order some gear off fasttech.

I have not experienced this problem personally as I am having my fasttech stuff shipped to the address on my paypal account.

But from reading other people's posts, I think the way around this was to (1) make an order on Fasttech for what you want (2) cancel the order; cancelling the order gives you the options of either having a fasttech credit or refunding to your paypal/credit card (3) choose the fasttech credit, and (4) reorder using the credit to your Thai address.

 

My thai paypal account has 3 or 4 delivery addresses attached to it. I can select the one that I want. All re in Thailand however

1. Get a Thai bank account. (I use Kasikorn)
2. Activate online banking.
3. Create a new PayPal account with your Thai address.
4. Link your new PayPal with your new bank account.
5. Go shopping!

That's the best way to do it. No issues at all.

 

just don't link it to your main account--- keep a seperate account for using paypal and fund it only when needed---

 

speaking of fasttech, how long do the orders usually take to ship to thailand? i want to buy some flashlight heads for my PVs

 

Depends.
After it leaves FT and arrived with Sing post I think they only ship here a couple of times a week and then after it arrives here, depending on where you are you could receive it next day in some cases.

2 weeks at most by free registered mail

 

Thank you judas for that link, but PP have a standed form and it will only set up for Australian address.

I think ryans idea might be best, I have a account with BKK Bank so I will see what they say.

@Rowdy I use BKK bank, works fine, but when you initially the PayPal up you have do to that 1 dollar test charge verification for new accounts, at least I had to.

My BKK bank account is in Chonburi and I now live in Korat, this some times can be a problem the staff here will say I have to go to Chonburi to do in house business, maybe I will set up a separate account in Korat.

What could go wrong, its Thailand, its a bank, what could possibly go wrong?

Last week off to the banks, 1st up BKK Bank just up from where I live, No A/C because I need a Work permit, very nice young lady but could not understand that I cant get a W/P if I have a retirement visa.

Next off to SCB, oops the lady was talking to her B/F and this low life falang wants to open an account Can not "NO work permit"... This piece of work was a total bitch or it was the wrong time of the month!!!!

So next door TMB and another very nice young lady hmmmm very nice, no problem only need a passport I ask about transferring funds from Australia "Can Not" only transfer inside Thailand.

So Mrs Rowdy comes up with the idea to go to BKK Bank main office in Korat and try, she cant come with me she works as a School teacher.

So off I go and BINGO yes account open. No problems or so I think. I get onto the computer and try to set up internet banking, 45 minutes later and up pops the screen tells me to contact my nearest BKK Bank. Off to the main office again, see the sweet lady and we both find out I have to fill in more papers which get sent to Head office in BKK and wait about 2 weeks. So I still cant buy anything on the net using my BKK Bank card.

In Pattaya it's a piece of cake to open an account with Kasikorn Bank. Only thing you need is your passport and they'll set up your ATM/Visa Debit card for online purchasing and then open a Thailand Paypal account.

 

Hey Patts a lot of things are easier to get in Pattaya than in Korat.
