Pattaya Member Meet-up

I've gotten permission from my missus to attend a vape meet in Pattaya, so I wanted to see if there was any interest in putting one together. Since I'm in Bangkok, I would need one of you down that end to help find a venue that would be suitable. Preferably somewhere with parking. Please vote in the poll so we can get a good idea of how many people would attend.

Also, if someone could talk to Khun Wut and see if he would attend, that would be fantastic.

I'm thinking Saturday, May 31st at around 5pm.

 

I'm definitely up for this Ryan. I think it might be difficult for Wut to attend because he'd have to close his shop but since he's a member of the forum now I'm sure he can answer for himself. I'm not much of a social butterfly to recommend a suitable venue but if no one else offers then I could do a scout around for a location.

I think it is a great idea, i know a few places, but it relly depends on what ppl. want, if it was up to me ill recommend soi khao noi sportsbar, its a little outside main pattaya area in east pattaya, has good food, has some parking(3 spots i think) and there prices are not bad, other option is i can host it at my place if its not more than 6 to 8 ppl.

i do think 5 pm is a little late to start...

 

Nice idea.
Would be nice if the venue was close to some rooms for rent as I would probably stay over night.

There is a relly nice hotel/motel not far from there is around 600thb a night, rooms look brand new with aircon and 32" tv, most rooms has parking right in front of room, open 24h.

 

Looks and sounds good.

I actually prefer the dark side (or whatever you call it nowadays).

I would love to go and meet you guys, but alas I am in the U.S. atm.

 

A get together in pattaya would be great preferably on the dark side to avoid the traffic on a saturday in town esspecialy round 5pm. But it needs to be easy to find for those not familiar with the dark side and easy to get to for those with no transport. hope you can pull it off peteinpatts...

Sure, you'll avoid traffic if you live on that side and I guess petewan and mash that you both live there. I'm not familiar with that side and the only way I'd get there is by motorbike taxi along death road, better know as Sukhumvit. lol

Traffic in Pattaya on a Saturday night comes from all the out-of-towners, mostly from Bangkok I'd say. I'm sure Ryan and Sean have made trips to Pattaya before but I doubt they drove all that way to come and spend their time enjoying the darkness of that side of town.

I wish that pommyb would attend because I'm sure he would have some good location recommendations in Jomtien. That would be a bit of travel for me via 2 baht buses but at least it's safer travel than motorbike taxi along Sukhumvit Road.

I just think a location somewhere in Pattaya proper or Jomtien would be a better venue, that's my 2 cents . . . . .

 

Not really hearing a lot of unity here. I've gotta be honest, that place that was recommended doesn't look too great from the Google Street View images. How about Gullivers? Anything similar?

 

I'm happy to go with the flow I guess.
If the dark side how about somewhere a little more picturesque like the places surrounding Maprachan lake.
If central then there are choices galore along Soi Buakhow.
Jomtien would make a nice change though, how about the Punch and Judy pub?
