I am wondering if these types of batteries have a memory, re charging and discharge.

I don't have much knowledge re batteries and I am finding it a little bit of a pain taking an extra spare battery with me, in case of failure rather than discharge, if I don't really have to.

If they don't have a memory I can remove a partially discharged battery and recharge it. Put in a new one, so I can leave the house with a full one so as to save me carrying extra spare. If they have a memory then no problems I will keep doing as I am now.

    Cheers

I don't think batteries have memories, but I know the NiteCore battery chargers do.

No matter how much the battery has been depleted, just pop one in and it will charge it to 100 % ans stop charging it.

No worries about over charging or anything like that.

and for 600 Baht from Micky, you can't go wrong. If you use anything cheaper, the worst case scenario could be that it over charges the batteries and it burns your house down :very sad:

Lithium batteries don't have a memory effect, but they do die faster if you constantly fully discharge them. On top of that, if they are discharged too low some chemistries can be volatile when you try to recharge them. It's best to keep them as close to full as possible at all times, and try to drain them around once a month. If you are using a mech mod or anything that doesn't have over-discharge protection, do a lot more reading about batteries so you don't kill yourself. You don't need an expensive charger either, almost everything out there will have the required circuitry, but stuff like the Nitecore and fewest chargers have other features you might find useful.

    Thanks guys. Good to know.

Got a Nitecore charger so that's all good. Plenty of spare batteries as well so I can start to deplete them less and only carry one spare whan I am out. And really good to know it's actually better to partially deplete them most of the time.

I'll be getting on to my battery research in the next day or so. My next piece of the learning curve. Fortunately I don't have any Mech Mods as yet , but they are my on my wish list now I am planning on moving to RBA's.

many thanks and Happy New Year.

I think we should change your name to something more appropriate to your knowledge in chemistry and vaping.

Hahaha, I'm like the comic book shop owner on the Simpsons, I just have way too much time on my hands, and all I do these days is mess around with vaping. My Thai family jokes that every photo of me, I have my ecigarette in my hands.
