1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

I am totally new to this, I tried a friends and definitely think I could give up the cigs if I use one of these.

Just been looking at some online stores, the variety of devices and liquids is overwhelming.

Hoping someone can give me some advice on a good kit for a noob!

    Hello QED,

    Welcome to the club.

The suggestion from Spachemunk is a good one. I started Vaping 2 weeks ago whiteout planing to quit with cigarets but becuause i was curios about e-cig or Vaping. I end up giving 4 pack of Cigarets away as i don't need them any longer.

I started with the E-Vic which is a great device but just to big when going out so i got myself a eGo C kid with small battery (6500Amp), perfect for the road and at home i enjoy the E-Vic.
I recommend a clearomiser like CE series to use with the eGo because the cartridges in the kid are not good in my opinion, bad taste and leaking.

Hope you will find a suitable device for yourself and are able to start :vaping: soon.

    Hello QED,

You will definitely be able to give up the cigs. I know choices can be overwhelming and I asked the same questions before I started vaping. As frustrating as it is, there is no one answer for "what is the best kit/ecig to start with?" Too much depends on individual preference. For example, I had a friend who wanted to start vaping and it was very important to him that the ecig looked a like a cig and was of a similar size. Obviously, this narrowed the options available to him.

Personally, I never cared about looks. I just want a big throat hit, strong flavor, and plumes of vaper. It's taken a while, but I am finally figuring out what works for me.

I would suggest being open to experimentation. What I mean is be ready to spend some cash to figure out what works for you (device and juice). I wouldn't worry too much about what you buy for your first kit. Just watch a few youtube reviews, get one and start vaping. You'll learn from your first device and be able to make more educated purchases of equipment and juices to fit your tastes. For example, I started off with an eGo-c. Worked fine and I got off the cigs immediately after 20+ years. However, I figured out that I wanted a battery with a longer life and variable voltage, and a tank system that offered more flavor and held more juice. So I purchased an eGo twist and a viva nova. This setup was much better for me. I've again moved on from there, but you get the point.

Regarding your question about pros and cons of cartos, clearos etc, this can be quite an involved discussion. If no one answers on this thread, google "cartomizer clearomizer atomizer" and you should see quite a few links for discussions on this.

so i did:grin: and so far i can say the best combination for me is e-Vic and clearomiser tank on it at home. eGo for on the go:vaping:

I think people who want to get off cig and start to supp. with Vaping are commonly think e-cigs have to look like common cigarets. Well, i can make the statement that this is not reality. Vaping has almost nothing to do with smoking but gives you the satisfaction smoking dose by far.
But yes i agree you need to find your own preference and with everything, experience made will tell.

Welcome aboard, If I had to do it all over again from jump street. I would buy three ego twist's and a charger for them. I would buy five T3 clearo's. The reason I like the T3 is it is a bottom coil. It also puts out tons of vapor. The life span of the T3 seems to be long, then say CE3,4,5. It give you a much cooler vape also. As for e-juice, that is a shot in the dark. We all seem to like something different, when it come to juice. :vaping: The above mentioned gear will last a long time. Which means you will be able to kick analog"s to the curb and not look back.

Check this out, one week ago no Thai vendor had a eGo Twist 1100 mah battery and i got tolled they are not popular in Thailand because to long. Now i see them everywhere:surprised::grin: even as a set.

This is a very good set and if i would not have the twist i defensively would have bought this. The price is also good.
