So i got a new charger in from ebay today and its pretty awesome. 500mah or 1000 mah selectable charging.

heres a pic of the batt capacity test (via 500mah discharge) function, green is VTC5 right is Samsung. It will fully charge the battery first, then discharge it.....then automatically charge it again with the option of 500 mah or 1000 mah which is selected before discharging.

Both batteries are around rated specs after 2 weeks of use. Samsung is 3 weeks old. Surprisingly samsung has slightly more capacity. Discharge/capacity test took around 5 hours for both at the same time.

Battery resistance test VTC5 has half the resistance of the Samsung, but charge times and discharge rates are very similar...Samsung got a lot hotter during discharge test. Samsung specs indicates 1000 mah charge current at 4.2 volts

Theres a charge time length also, but didnt take a picture of it. So far i really like this charger, old crap charger was taking 16-18 hours for a full recharge ! Rated at 400 mah, but was really only about 150 mah.

Havent done a charge time test yet, since i was testing the capacity via discharge today, let me kill a battery and see how long it takes.

today it took 1:47 hours to replenish 1400mah into a 2600mah Sony VTC5 @ 1000mah charge current. So Its putting out the actual rated current, no false advertising here.

old charger would have taken 9 hours!

i just realized it also displays the amount of mah put into the battery as well, without entering discharge/capacity mode ! love it so far.

no more looking at the old charger to see if the light is green yet !
    **Updated**
btw, the charger does NOT get incredibly hot. That reviews makes it appear that it is very hot, but it is not.

The samsung battery on the other hand was pretty hot, VTC5 was nowhere near as hot.
