well some time back i bought a Aspire Nautilus from Micky here - Aspire Nautilus Glassomizer ** Out of stock
and it vapes really great, good taste, and huge tank ..... however for me that thing is a coil killer....
i might was unlucky, but just after a few vapes (it didnt last till the tank was empty) the vape really tasted bad, a bit burned, just as i suppose to be a dead coil would be.

when i plug it on my Ohm meter i still can read 2 Ohms so it cant be burned, at least not both of the Dual coils, however the taste is horrible.
    So i repleaced the coil

and vaping was great again, and again just after 2 days, same thing. My coil have Ohmage, but taste is horrible, like a burned coil. At the rate of 120 THB per replacement coil this is nothing i wanna go for. I was wondering about the Kanger Aerotank but i read there as well that this seems to be a utterly coil destroyer.

so i cant believe its only me, what are youre experiences on the Nautilus if you have (/had) one?

its not only you.. 1 or 2 tanks with the stock coils and it starts losing flavor--but i have good performance out of redoing the coils myself using cotton and one coil-- After 2 months I still have not opened the pack of 5 spares I have and I vape about 1/2 a tank per day.

Just a question, what voltage are you vaping it at? These things are designed for 3.7v/7w, so I'm kind of thinking that running them higher is why so many people have problems with them.

i rarely go under 10w--that works fine with a rebuilt coil

Did you try dry burning to get the char off then go again? I think similar to the Iclear coils you can't go too high on the power.

You can definitely go to high on any of these, as I made a wire welder so I could stop melting the damn insulators. With the sheath style wicking on the Aspire coils, I'm not surprised it gets that burnt taste rather quickly, and keeps it.

I can't speak for the Nautilus but I have the Kanger Aerotank and it is excellent! I've had it for 6 weeks and it still has the original coil in it, cleaned and dry burned it only once in all this time. Flavor and vapor are great and I vape it between 9 - 11 Watts . . . . it's my favoriite tank after the Kayfuns.

I have followed a German reviewer, for some time and he recommend to vape at least one or two tanks at low wattage around 7 watts, before vaping the coil on higher wattages. If I follow his instructions, I'm fine. But if I start on a high wattage level like 10 watts, i also get a burned taste very quickly.

I too have the nautilus and found a similar problem. I found that the burnt taste was because the coil had become loose and out of position. When I would undo the Nautilus the coil was no longer in the base but had become attached to the part above.

I found really tightening the coil into place made everything go back to normal.

Unfortunately, I ruined many coils trying new juices that I was allergic to. I am stuck with only menthol and mint for the rest of my life. :(

well my 2 coil rebuids worked okay, although one of the coils looks quite ****ed cause i dryburned it too much i guess when it still was running the original coils.

one more question thou ... that kinda destructed dryburned now cotton wicked coil is gurgling a lot, you ever experienced something like that on the nautilus?
