I'm using silica wicks, if it makes a difference. I am still vaping on the first tank of juice, but at some point I'll need to change the juice. I suspect the process is a bit different from what I'm used to with the disposable coil tanks. I assume a change can be made without replacing the wick and coil, so what are some best practices? My guess is you drain from the top and then fill from either the top or bottom. I don't mind filling from the bottom. But what needs to be done, between draining the old and adding the new? Anything?

I would say finish your juice or drain with a syringe. Then continue doing a few vapes until you start to hit dry or burnt tasting hits. Then do a few quick dry burns. Then refill with new juice. I use cotton and have done this but the old juice still lingers in cotton because you cannot do dry burns. Hope this helps you out

Yes it does, and thank you very much!

I assume I don't need to remove the vape chamber...just top cap, outer tank and chimney, which then can be rinsed off.

Will it drain if I remove the bottom fill screw, or is their a vacuum, with the top cap on that will prevent that from happening? Today I found out what happens when you remove the top cap, with juice in the tank...don't want to do that again. :)

    Changing Juice:
When using a kayfun I only use juice I know I like because I don't like to drain it, just vape until its gone.
If there's a problem and I need to drain it:
    Pull the drip tip.
Turn it upside down with the driptip hole over a bottle (something stable like a Halo glass bottle).
Unscrew the base, (hopefully the chimney comes off with it) juice flows into the bottle.

Can be messy if all doesn't go well.

If the next juice you use is a dramatically different taste than the last, I would rinse the tank and put in new cotton.

Why not trying to fill in the kayfun by the top, removing the cap? Always proceeding like this with mine without problem and when the kayfun is opened, no problem to drain the remaining juice if needed. Or maybe, some Kayfun models do not allow this filling method?
To prevent leak, I just put the kayfun upside down after screwing the top plug on one thread only, then, I finish to screw it well tight.

Well, I'm actually looking for ways to drain it, not fill it. I'm fine with filling it from the bottom. On this tank, if you open the top cap, all the juice spills out the air holes. So I'm not sure how one would fill it from the top without making a big mess. On top of that, the tank has not performed well, after I opened the top cap. I'm thinking I may have to drain it completely and start over again to get the good vape back.

If you are going to fill it from the top, you need to close the air hole on the base, turn Kayfun upside down, unscrew the top cap, dump the juice off, Turn it upright (not sure if I'm using the word correctly), fill the juice (the air hole on the base still need to be closed), screw the top cap just a little bit until the threads meet the O-ring, turn it upside down again, let the air hole open, and screw the top cap all the way in, Bingo! you're done.

ps. the easier way I found on another forum is using the tape to close the air hole, so much easier compared to finger

oh I just saw that you only want to drain the juice.

Just turn your atty upside down FIRST, unscrew the top cap, drain all the juice, screw in the top cap and it's done. I suggest you to do all those steps with the upside down atty.

    Your English is perfect. :)

What I don't understand is why so many prefer filling from the top...with all the problems that come with it. I know that little screw on the bottom is difficult to work with and easy to loose, but its seems much easier, and reliable, than trying to fill from the top.

I don't need a tool to top fill. I grab my bottle and a tissue, 20 seconds later I'm finished. No issues here.

Just get a syringe from any pharmacy and suck the juice out. Try to get the biggest size needle they have. I like to blunt the end of mine with a file just to be safe, but it really doesn't matter. They're like 10 baht each.

I can see how that would come in handy. Next time I'm in town I'll see if one of the 3 pharmacies has one.

Just saying because if you fill in the tank from the top, it becomes then obvious how to drain it as the top cap is open, but as you are fine filling it from the bottom, I have nothing more to say... ;-)
