1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

As stated I just bought one Black Stingray and the Death Mod from Mack's clearance sale. The Death mod will be a little present for my brother I think.

But I were thinking about completing them
Regarding batteries I'm thinking about Sony VCT5 18650.

But for the rest I'm not sure. I would like something in the same style, have looked into the vendors here, but so much is out of stock.
And to be frank, I'm still unsure in this world of vape about what to buy

So if someone from this crowd of helpful people have the time to give some tips, recommendations or do-nots I will be grateful for them all.

You have already chosen the best battery. As far as atomizers are concerned I would recommend the kayfuns. If they are not available here, try Fasttech. They are much cheaper there than with the vendors here. Yes it might take some time, but I have noticed that they ( in my last 2 orders) have started sending the orders by Singapore mail. I have received both the orders in a weeks time, max 10 days. As long as you don't order batteries, they have started shipping out the stuff via Singapore mail. For me since Ryan convinced me to go for kayfun 3.1 I have never looked back. The second recommendation was the kayfun lite V2. Both are absolutely excellent. Sure, it took me a while to learn how to perfect coils, but it has been worth it. I have disposed off all the kanger, aspire and whatever other atomizers I had before. When I mentioned 'perfect' the coils, they still aren't perfect but very usable. I get a better flavor, a better cloud and a fantastic vape.

Thanks a lot for your tips.
I got both of them in the mail today, and they looks just as good as I hoped.
But I really have no idea what to do with them, so they will probably end up on the shelf, but they are nice looking at

I just think it will be to complicated for me. And I am a very impatient person. To wait weeks for parts will not work. And I lives in a small place 60 km from Udon Thani, not so many to give a little handholding out here ;-)

I think I had some ideas in my head that I could find some nice, ready made parts to plug in. Well, at least I have learned to research a little more before I shop, even if I got two very nice pieces out of it

Re: Just bought myself an Black Stingray Update - will take the jump

Have been thinking and reading, and decided to take the jump ( a small one at first ).
So I have put together a shoping list.
    ------

    2 x Sony VCT5 18650 2600 mAh
    1 x AW IMR 18490

1 x Kayfun lite plus clone "black edition
    1 x Kayfun Lite Plus V2

    2 x Kanthal A1 Wire 0.3mm (28 AWG)

    Ohm meter
    1 x Nitecore i4 V2 Intelligent Charger

Thats all so far. Assorted tools and so on I got a diversity of. Anything more I really need to make my start in this ?

Ryan mentioned this in another thread so copying and pasting
Kanthal, I recommend 28AWG, Big and Micky usually have it. Tweezers you probably already have. Nail clippers to cut the wire. Cotton balls (sterile) from the pharmacy. Small phillips screwdriver, probably came one of your atomizers. Scissors. Ohm meter, already have one on your iTaste. Windproof lighter, pretty much anywhere lighters are sold. Drill bit or other mandrel (like a toothpick or small screwdriver).

Yes and if anything else fails, you can always order a ego to 510 adaptor for 100 Bath, then you can also vape your Kanger mini and other ego tanks on the mechanical mods. Its a nice thing to have.

Oh dear, another thing I want  I will really give it a go, have looked at a lot of you tube movies and so on, but this could be great as a backup in the start. Thanks a lot for this.

When I started to vape I did not know this forum, so I ended up with some really crappy ego's first and some coils. Next thing was a mechanical mod, and I found this adaptor, so I could use the tanks I already had on a mechanical mod, and that was really a big difference.

I am still not in the field of drippers or rebuildables yet, but found out that ordinary tanks with coils around 1.5 to 1.8 where just fine on mechanical mods too, so today I use like the Aspire Nautilus tank with the 1.6 ohms coil on a brass stingray (you have the black copper version), and it works fine for me. So do the iclear 30S tanks at 1.5 ohms. I am sure the vape from Kaifuns and other rebuildables are even better, but after I cough my guts out trying a dripper a few times, I leave that for the younger people in here at the moment, and stay with what I am comfortable with.
