1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.
Are you looking to get started or an old hand at vaping? Everyone is welcome here so sign up today and talk vaping with us!

It's your move for vaping rights in Thailand now.

This link below is a campaign/petition for legalizing e-cigarettes in Thailand. And it's up to you whether to make a move, or not. But I really do hope we all contribute in which ever way we possibly can. And it will take only a minute to just sign-up, but if you feel like sharing your thought on the subject then it's even better.

From what I can read there is no actual statement of what the signature rise are petitioning for. There only appear to be some facts but no stated aim. I may have missed it though as I don't read Thai.

Can you tell me what is stated as the aim of the petition? What are they saying they want?

I don't want to know it either. I only asked what the petition has stated as the aim of the petition. I can't see any info about that. Ok these countries have made vaping illegal, these haven't these regulate this way and these regulate that way but what does the petition state that they want to achieve?

Basically nothing on there I can see mentions vaping rights in Thailand.
    **Updated**
To be honest I have no intention of putting my name to a petition in Thailand about legalizing an activity declared illegal. Too easy to have my next visa renewal turned down.

Absolutely Longtail. Stay under the radar until things change, as they always do in LoS.

I have lived in Thailand for many years and it has been my experience that it is never wise for farrang to meddle in Thai politics. Nothing good can come from that. We are guests in the country and have very limited rights (some would say no rights). I would follow any Thai effort to change the law regarding vaping with great interest but never get personally involved.

The more Farang names they get, the more likely it is to be not only ignored but to make sure that the exact opposite is done.

    thanks for posting this Suudlor.
I'm happy to see that someone is taking some intuitive to challenge the ban, but they really need Thai nationals to sign the petition, not foreigner's. Pass it on to any Thai vapers you know.

I hope it has some effect.

Yah, you never know if the folks starting these things are one of Big Jok's disciples. Easy way to draw up a hit list. All in favour of Thai nationals doing all they can to get vaping legalised in their country and will follow this and other initiatives with interest. Be great for Thai people to have the option to get off the stinkies legally but put my head above the parapet, 'fraid not :( Were this a ban in Europe and Thai folks were signing up, no problem, but they would not face the potential problems farangs would face here IMO, us pesky foreigners get the finger pointed for enough problems already.

It's not new...but it is being pushed again. The originator, ECST, is legit as far as I know...have seen his posts in several Thai FB groups. But like SooKee, I prefer to stay under the radar since I live (& vape) in LOS. ;)

Indeed. If these initiatives are going to prove fruitful they will be fruitful without a handful of foreigners getting involved. Political interference isn't welcome in any arena (even for nationals in some cases!!) but ESPECIALLY not from foreigners.

Checking the link now I notice it says petition closed. Target reached? Closed by Facebook (but I guess that might have had it deleted). Or.............?? What's not clear is whether the petition was re-activated and attracted more signatures or whether it's just being re-publicised. Ah, just saw the new link at post #10.
