iTaste 134 problem

I just bought my second iTaste 134 because I was so happy with the first one. Don't worry the new one works great but the old one has now a big problem.

If I put a battery in it and push the button I will show the green, yellow and red light going on. If I fire it, it will only show the blinking red light to show that it has an error.

Now there are three things that I noticed that are suspicious and might cause a problem inside the 134.

1st the mod feels pretty warm without using it
2nd there was a little spark when I changed the battery
3rd there was a little juice, just slightly wet, near the bottom of the top half of the 134, near the thread part, not touching the battery, but near it.

The iClear is working fine on my other iTaste and the battery can also not be the problem because I tried different ones.

I am a bit scared to start opening this thing up because I have two left hands.

What should I do?

Maybe it's nicer to make a poll out of this?

 

I'm thinking you will have to toss it anyway so why not have a go at getting inside to see if its something obvious. Could be something as simple as a wire come loose. My experience though is Innokin tend to seal up their devices pretty well and they usually dont come apart easily.

 

It sounds like you have a short inside. I think BW is right about taking it apart, they aren't really designed for it. What I would do is rinse it out with some distilled water really well, then sit it in a jar of uncooked rice for at least 3 days, battery out of course. If it still doesn't work, at that point take it apart.

 

try contact cleaner or vodka before putting it in rice for a few days.

 

It took me a while to find this thread back again because it is old...but after seeing the PBusardo visit to the Innokin Factory in China I was thinking of this thread...I still like this model a lot so I decided to give it a go and try to get these mods working again.

Yesterday I finally bought a bottle of vodka and my 3 mods were soaking in it for the last 24 hours. I took them out and decided to soak them in a new bath of vodka for another 24 hours because the first bath turned brown from the e-liquid.

I already bought two new Aspires to sit on them so I hope when they get delivered in 2 weeks I have at least two of them working...

 

My 134-mini still works perfectly.

I am jealous Patts, I really still like the looks of that thing!

If I get two of them working I will try to find the big 134, if they still sell them new, to have the complete line up of 18350, 18500 and 18650...

I really hope what I am doing works...

 

I actually have a brand new 18650 134 still in the box never used. Old but never used. lol

I looked at some Thai website and it looks if they still sell them, even on E-bay they still have them so they are not all gone yet...only a lot less popular nowadays!

OMG!!! I suddenly need one more atty!!I will order this one at Big tomorrow so I don't have to wait too long!
