First thing is to strip it down so it looks like this:
    1.jpg

Then wash everything, for the main inside body, I cup my hands together with it in them, fill up with water and shake around, and rinse under water many times.

    Then I dry everything.

    Next up is this part:
    2.jpg

With a thin screwdriver, carefully pull out the top silicon top.
With it will come a wick, don't worry, this is like a flavour wick over the top of the top coil you can see this clearly in the above picture, there's no way around this, once it's out it's out, but it doesn't affect the performance imho

Now screw the body onto your device and do the dry burn same as normal like you'd do with a standard iClear 30 or Vivi Nova, it's hard to see the bottom coil, the top one is easy to see.

I just do it till the top one glows red, and at an angle I kinda see the bottom one glow red.
I advise knocking down your voltage if you can to around 4V to 4.5V when dry burning, higher and you could pop the coils

Once finished pop back the silicon top on, making sure the grooves/slots in it match up with the top coil/wick
Put everything else back together and fill it up.

    Any you're good to go.

I do this around once a week, and so far it's been around 3- 4 weeks with the same coil and still going fine.

Just go careful as coils can get damaged easy, pocking around inside and you can damage them.
Always re check your ohms after doing it, if for any reason it's higher than 2.1 you may have a damaged coil, if it's say 3.4 ohms then that means one of the coils have gone and it's time to replace the whole head.

I just dryed burnt one of mine 30 mins ago, now showing as 2.5 ohms, and not tasting great, maybe a month in and it's time for a change, i'll see how the rest of the day goes with it...

That's a fantastic explanation and eared up some doubts that I have had.

    Thanks a lot. I

Got a feeling that is because of the damp wicks, we are used to pat drying the old i30 for a burn. :cheers2:

why take the silicone ring off at all,
why not just leave it to dry naturally and use another wick in the mean time.

You need to fire up the coils a few times on low power to clean off the build up.

    I'm not a fan of dry-burning.

    Here's what I do:

    1. Disassemble per the OP (great photos, thanks!).

    2. Pour hot (but not boiling water) into a bowl.

    3. Add a denture-cleaning tablet to the water.

    4. Drop the components into the now-bubbling water, let them stew overnight.

    5. Rinse all components thoroughly with cold water.

    6. Drop all components into a glass containing enough vodka to completely cover them.

    7. Let them vodka-soak for several hours.

    8. Rinse all the components in cold water.

    9. Let them air-dry for a day or two.

I've done this successfully twice now, still using the original two caged atomizer heads I started with when I received my VTR from Micky (one for darker juices, another for lighter juices). 3 weeks in of ~6ml a day, both original heads are still vaping away.

Due to the fact that you are burning your coils till they glow red, which would melt the silicone ring

It's not so per see the drying, it's the burning off the hard crusty juice off the coils..

At the end of the day it's what works for you, I've read about your way but the way I do it I can have mine back up and ready to vape in 10 mins...:vaping::vaping:

Just tried your method Vapermorphs, and it worked out fine. Didn't really need to as I had only been using it fao a day but wanted to try it out to see how easy it is.

Worked a treat. Something you didn't mention was whether you used anything apart from water to wash them. ie. something to help break down the juice still on the head.Do you? I didn't, as it was more an experiment than a necessity and intended to post this afterwards.

Something else for people vaping for the first time is the amount of time it took for the coils to clean initially was longer than I expected and the time, once clean, for them to glow red was also longer than I expected. I am using the 2.2 ohm coils, at least I think it's that. Can't remember the exact figure at the moment.

Clear concise and accurate instructions. Thanks
