Hi from Bavaria

Hello all together,

I`ve been reading a lot in your forum regarding the vaping situation in Thailand.

First I would like to introduce myself to you. I belong to Hochland Dampf group, a German Premium Liquid Manufacturer. We are located in the North of Bavaria.

By end of this year, I will do a motorcycle trip in Northern Thailand. Well, since almost 4 years, I have quit smoking and changed for the Ecigarettes. We in Europe, in Germany, fight for our rights to become a legalisation. Still no regulation in our country.

I become sad, when I have read about the ECig Bann in Thailand.

Does it also mean, when I am vaping, I will become a criminal in Thailand ?

Looking forward to change some more information with you guys.

 

Welcome to the forum Rudi. I'm a Danish/German living in Udonthani in the north east. You can always vape in places where it is also allowed to smoke, then you will be on the very safe track, and otherwise in bars and the like just ask. I have been vaping for nearly 1 and a half year by now, and have never had any problems with buying vaping gear or liquid thanks to the vendors of this forum, and I hope that will continue also in the future. Once again welcome ...

youre more then welcome on a vapebreak at my place in Chiangmai if you travel around that area with your bike for some time. Even thou eCigs are officially banned in thailand it doesnt mean you can get plentyfull of it here. For example Prostitution is illegal here as well, which is the major thing thailand in known for in Europe to begin with LOL,

... you really dont have to worry about anything at all, just for being in thailand the thai government labels you already as a Alien (no joke) and laws apply only to Humans so you should be fine.

What German Premium Liquid Manufacturer do you work for? Is that a E-juice company? I had the same concerns as I'll be visiting in late Dec. and all these great people in this forum are a big help in getting more info on that.

First of all, I would like to thank you for all the warm welcome greetings

It now gives me a much better view about the "Vaper" situation in Thailand. It is interesting, when I see that the neighbours like Myanmar are acting much different. Looks like as everywhere. Money driven, if the lobby is big enough they have the power and money to force it in the way like they want. It is not much different to the situation in Germany.....but......there are signs, that Big Tobacco is much interested to jump in. We already got enquiries from cigarette companies to assist them in producing Liquids.

It was not my intention to tell you guys where I belong to but since Scooby asked for, I will do. I am one of the owners of "Hochland Dampf". We deliver around 50 Offline Shops throughout Germany, OEM Label and private label business. We do around 80% of our business with Shops, Online and Offline.

@oil: thanks for the invitation. If there is a chance it would nice to meet up with you. the hotel where we stay most of the time, is located in Chiang Rai at the Ben Guesthouse. From there we will do, mostly daily trips, but we also with stay a couple a few days in Chiang Mai at the

ouch, thats is a incredible short trip just over new year, my ancerstors come from Swabia, we woulnt want to have a 1000 Euro Flight for just 3 Days Vacation

 

I hope you enjoy your trip.. I recently did Bangkok up to the Golden Triangle and back on my Harley.. what a beautiful trip.. really enjoyed Chang Mai.

@oil - we will have a total stay in Thailand from Dec. 27th - January 15th. We will just stay a few days in Chiang Mai. Guess I gave you a wrong picture. We will do a two weeks motorcycle trip and one week we will enjoy the area close to Surat Thani and will relax a few days in Khanom where we have rented a bungalow

Kurt of course. If you guys are interested to meet us, it would be a pleasure for us. Most of the time we will stay in Chiang Rai from where we will do daily trips and as mentioned we will stay three days in Chiang Mai. why not set up a Meeting in Chiang Rai or Chiang Mai ? Would be nice to meet you guys up there

 

Chiang Rai is a great place guys! Almost nobody vapes here!

In December, Chiang Rai is nice and cool so bring your winter jacket!

All Thai people from the south and Bangkok already wear them in the van when they are traveling up north with knitted mittens, scarves and winter hats! LOL
