1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

    Hi all,

I have only recently got into vaping. Unlike many, however, I didn't come across as a means to give up smoking. I gave those up about 8 years ago.

A work colleague vapes and, after enjoying the smell for a while, starting taking the occasional toke myself.

A few weeks ago I picked up a baby evod2 kit and have been enjoying the occasional coffee vape etc.

I'm finding, however, that I'm limited from some of the nicer 'boutique' juice flavours because I'm sticking to 0mg. I've just ordered a Root Beer DIY juice kit so I'm hoping that might help in that area.

I've been researching the newer Kanger Mod Mini and might be picking up one of those soon. I've heard the sub_ohm units deliver a stronger flavoured vape. Any truth in that? Advice?

    Thanks all,

    Ben

It depends on the individual. I much prefer Sub-Ohm for the warmth and flavour it gives. I don't think it can be replicated by higher resistances at higher voltages, others may disagree.

You'll just have to try it out for yourself but if you vape mouth to lung it possibly won't do much for you.

That's not been my experience but I don't do a lot of subsubohming. For me, the higher wattages required for subohming result in a warmer vape than I like. Most subohm tanks also require direct lung hits, which means that the vapor bypasses the taste buds in your mouth on the inhale...at least it seems that way to me.

The only way to know for sure is to try the same juice in subohm & non subohm tanks and see which you like best.

I thought most juice suppliers make 0 mg juice...

I agree, taste/flavor aside, the "feeling" of the vape is different. IMO, sub-ohm gives a smoother/thicker vape that I enjoy.

Indeed, I played with the Goblin few days ago and decided to see if I could MTL with it. I was in a nostalgic evening, thinking about my lovely Kanger Mini Protank2 and its tiny tiny airflow :) Well, I was AMAZED by the density of the flavor. I did not remember that at all, and coming for only vaping DL, doing some MTL has given me an explosion of flavor.

I am considering a MT tank now, just for some nostalgic moments, one or twice a year ^^

They do, but locals vendors rarely stock them. Unless you are willing to order from overseas, it is near to impossible to find locally.

OP still has the option with Vapor Mist or vVvapor though :)

    Welcome to the forum Ben.

Well the stronger flavoured vape might just come with a dripper and not a tank. I personally found that if you find a good dripper, and which it yourself in the subohm range, it can give a lot more flavour than a tank. One thing I learned in my time as a vaper is never to say never. When I first time tried a dripper, I decided that it was far to strong for me, and I was coughing my guts out. A half year or so later I tried it again, with other juice and wow starting to like it somehow. The same happened when I got my first sub ohm tank Lemo 2. It was far to strong for me again, but using it with ni200 wire on a temperature controlled mod, it's now one of my favourite tanks. Once I tried the Orchid, when @jon visit me here in Udonthani, and I felt that that was not for me, but for a month ago i bought one from our local vendor just to try it out, and now I vape that thing with up to 35 Watt, and the second tank on the way. So there is a lot to experiment with, when it comes to vaping. And here you can get all the help and inspiration you need :) :welcome::vaping::vaping::vaping:
