1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

Greetings to everyone and a sincere thank you to Siam Diesel and everyone for all the valuable insights. The journey into vaping is an interesting one. It's a very individualistic activity, mostly fueled by the desire to quit smoking without having to suffer the withdrawal symptoms, which I am sure everyone here is familiar with. There is literally no "one way" to enjoy it. We find our way to The Way by means of trial, error and listening to sage advice from those 'who've been there'.

I never wanted to quit smoking because I enjoyed it so much. I don't believe that it's just the nicotine, but the structuralized hand gestures, the sensual pleasure of inhalation, etc. Vaping satisfies these habitual characteristics and easily surpasses them, given the plethora of juices, mods, builds, etc.

I wrote a story about my recent re-entry into vaping as a way to reduce my smoking. Yes; Indonesian kreteks still hold a fond place in my heart and habit when having a cappuccino or after dinner. So, it's like 3-4 cigs (analogs) a day instead of two packs of cigarettes per day. Wheew... makes breathing-related activities like diving or cycling way more enjoyable and I don't miss being a stinky-stinky when out in public or at home.

My blog entry is as a newbie who started about 3 years ago on those miserable eGo e-cigs with no flow, non-rebuildable tanks and wicks that were painfully slow to saturate with juice. Shit for chargers, shit for battery life and tanks that were throw-aways and would break and leak if you looked at them wrongly. Ultimately, the frustration wasn't worth it and I just went back to smoking. Been vaping happily for about 3 months now and am finally becoming a proficient builder. Still got lots to learn though and as an information junkie, I find the Path to be one of nearly endless fascination.

I claim no expertise, correctness, authority or anything else obtrusive. It's just how I found my way into vaping well. I'll also express my gratitude for the existence of this site and the copious amount of people contributing their experiences and wisdom.

If I could offer one piece of experiential advice: Any industry, and this is most prevalent with digital cameras, is we start out with the cheap one to test the waters. Simple, right? We find out we enjoy it. Guess what? The engineers design these things with specific impediments at each pricing level, so that once you gain some experience, it will (by design) hinder your ability to capture a clean image - especially when trying to shoot a moving subject. So, you upgrade. Whoops, more experience, more challenging subjects - upgrade again. By the time you get to your 4th or 5th camera, you can finally shoot horses jumping, models on the runway, etc., and come home with a bunch of "keepers" instead a bunch of blurry out of focus trash.

Use this forum to find out how to begin with something nice first. Spend a little extra money on the mod, batteries, tank and charger. Use pre-built atomizer coils to keep it simple and enjoy becoming a vaper. Start out with junk and your entry into vaping may prove to be a disappointment and you'll just wind up running to a 7-11 and picking up another pack of smokes. If you like playing with small hand tools, making jewelry, building models, modding laptops or towers, you will eventually find yourself building your own decks. Me personally? I love this stuff...

Bingo... Haha... that would be correct. But I admit to my enthusiastic anticipation of ordering in an Aromamizer RDTA 6Ml with the velocity deck. Ooooo... can't wait!

And as the old saying goes: If some is good, then more must be better! Right?
