1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

    Hi everyone,

    great to have this board!
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.

I started vaping 3 month ago and quit smoking pyros 21/2 months ago. Vaping is the best that could ever have happened to me as a smoker and nicotine addict.

I usually spend 6-8 month a year in Thailand with my family. When researching about bringing juice into Thailand I discovered that it is banned here. What a shock!
Not wanting to start cigarettes again, I decided to bring some of my gear from abroad and also some readymade juice, flavours and nicotine base so I will have a supply for at least 7 month.
Everything went smoothly at immigration and first thing I did when I came home was to coil and wick one of my RTAs and enjoy my first puffs in LoS :)

Now I'm researching into buying VG/PG and thanks to this board, I already found some suppliers. Will keep everyone updated in the relevant threads.

I'm down South here in a small town at the Andaman sea coast. Already saw Thai vapers producing big clouds publicly in front of a restaurant. Seems like they are not too afraid of authorities. But for the time being I will restrict my vaping to my private home.

If there is any way that I can support legalization in Thailand, let me know.

    Vape on!

    Hello, new poster here,

Nice to meet you vapingisthefuture. I'm located in Rawai, Phuket. Not sure what is your location as Andaman is quite broad. Kind of in the same boat as everyone here, trying to figure out my supplies. AliExpress seem to be the best goto so far for my coils and tanks. Cheers!

Hi 5 time poster here! Yesss
I have mage rta also, my first vape setup!
I just got an rda and now I can say the flavour from the mage is good!
1 question, is it normal to have to change the cotton after 2-3 tank fills?

And if in need of some supplies I have ordered all my kit from thaivapeshop. Been a fairly painless experience apart from sending me the wrong rda.

    Happy vaping!

The darker or sweater the e-juice the faster the wick should be changed because you don't get the taste as before from it.

To change the cotton after 2-3 tank fills is not abnormal if it is a dark or sweet juice I guess, but I am sure that some vapers change it around 4-5 tanks if the juice is not so dark.

    :welcome:

I was hoping I was doing something wrong
I think I'll have to get a tank with pre-made coils too then.

    This is becoming expensive...

My breathing is better after a month of the cigs though

If you're concerned about the costs then a roll of wire and a pack of good quality cotton - around 500-600 baht total will be cheaper in the long run as opposed to 150 or so baht per 5 pack of coils which you'll be swapping out every few days. For wire its always cheaper to just use simple round coils, can't go wrong with some good 24g Kanthal or SS & its very versatile. Just dry burn, re wick and repeat - the same coil will last you weeks. Cotton wise you can either buy large packs of pads in bulk or some "premium cotton". Everyone is different but I found the "premium" cotton to be better in the long run since it can take more heat (less dry hits) and doesn't need to be changed so often. Send me a private message if you want a better explanation.

    Thanks for the advice :)
I have 24 gauge ss which is working out nicely and some organic cotton pads...
Gonna try some cotton bacon when my supplies from China arrive ^^
I'm not too worried about spending on vaping really, eventually it will be cheaper than smoking health is more important though for me.
I'm in the process of getting some flavours from the US for DIY too which should be a bit of fun.

    Cheers,
    Max

Glad to hear it. For DIY flavours, there's quite a few vendors in Thailand selling imported US flavours. Sure they're a bit more expensive but you get them in a 2 or 3 days and you don't have to worry about a nice surprise bill from customs. Best of luck :vaping:
