1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.
Are you looking to get started or an old hand at vaping? Everyone is welcome here so sign up today and talk vaping with us!

    Hello vapers in Thailand!!!

    Let me introduce myself.
I'm from the Netherlands and will visit Thailand this summer.
I'm vaping for 1,5 years now, after more than 25 years of heavy smoking.
The last time I visited this beautifull country I was still a heavy smoker.
Now, as many do, I'm only collecting vaping gear instead of sigarette butts :)

Now I want to bring my vaping gear, but am unsure wether you can vape in public.
I searched through this forum, but couln't find an answer.
Am I right when I state that "you may vape wherever it is allowed to smoke"?
    Or is stealth vaping preferred?
Do you run a risk when any diligent official is unaware about vaping and wants to confiscate a possible drug appliance?

No, it is legal to use. I'd say once you are inside of the country, no problem. Just keep in mind that people here are not as informed as in Europe so I would suggest to indeed vape only where you can smoke, simply to avoid bothering none smoker. Basically have the same attitude as a smoker.

Only trick is getting inside, if by lack of luck the custom search you luggage, you'll probably need to give up your liquid (the gear, I doubt it).

I'll state the obvious but as long as you don't look like you are trying to smuggle a lot of ejuice in the country, there is no problem.

And you know, the diligent official are quite a joke here, they won't bother doing much for just one vaper.

Thank you for your answers and for the welcome.
Then only the amount of liquid will be tricky. I'm vaping between 10 - 15 ml a day, so for one month I should bring at least 3 - 400 ml.
Well, then must be a little creative :)

    :welcome:

That's quite a lot of e-liquid so of course you'll have to pack it in your checked luggage. Put it in a zip-lock bag, take the labels off and if you want to be creative as you say, see if you can put some shampoo labels on the bottles and put them in your toiletry bag.

Loose batteries and mods with batteries should be in your carry-on bag. You should also empty your tanks and put those in your check-in bag too. I don't think you'll have any problems and even when your bags are scanned they just seem to pass without any hassles.

And if you run short, there are a couple of good juice suppliers that are bound to have something you like...

    Thanks!
    I'll remind that.
Because of the quantity I vape, I mostly vape diy. Gold Ducat is my big favorite and my adv for many months now.
Next to Capella's Honeydew melon, French vanilla and Vanilla custard.
Only for my drippers I use some premiums.

Sadly, we don't have access to most of the premium juices over here...but we manage all the same!
