    The wife got some bad news today.
    Heineken decided it was time to die.
    We don't know the full account but he was staying with friend and they have some kind of area which has water in it.
    He'd been in it many a times and could about walk in it no problem.
    We seem to think he decided himself his time was up and went into the water and lied down and that was that.

    RIP my good friend, you were a man's best friend and we've got 10 years of happy memories.
    Your mum (my wife) will miss you so freaking much, I know you can't read this but she loved you like one of her children....

    Mate, I'm so sorry. They are our best friends...nothing but unconditional love. We should all take a lesson from them! RIP Heineken...you were greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

    -V- my condolences,and very sorry to hear about your loss. I think that pets know when it is time to go. My cat (16 years old) did the same thing. The day she went, I knew she was going to go. She chose her quiet spot, and left us. I know heineken had his operations, but at least he didn't have to be put down by a vet and could go in peace and without pain on his own terms and when he was ready to go.

    Condolences to you V, they are just more than a pet to us, there is a special bond. But I bet Heineken had a tremendous 10 years among you guys that would make jealous any other dog. May she RIP.
