A new mod from Hcigar being released soon with the Evolv dna40 board again. Quite like the look of it but think the adjustment button placement might be iffy:

Hcigar Technology proudly present the VT 40
This unique single 18650 design is so compact, that can easily be classified as one of the smallest devices currently on the market to future the latest DNA 40 V5, large screen board by Evolv.
C-frame design, with ultra-light aluminium cover that will be available in black or silver, with many colours to follow soon.

Looks nicer than the HCigar dna 40 heartbeat, that was a horrible mod imho...
Be interesting on the price range and how it's made...
But will keep an eye on it, it looks a bit like the IPV4

Nice looking mod...interested to see how the build quality is. Found this on ECF relative to its size...

As I understand the first batches of the dna 40 had some flaws, but they made some changes to the one Big is selling, so I'm still tempted....For a left handed person the buttons are just right. I am still happy for the Hcigar HB50, so this is a tempting mod I guess my only problem is that it has an evolv chip instead of the Yihi chip. Not shure that I trust the Evolv chip too much, but the design looks great. But you might push the + or -button instead of the fire button if you are not careful. Let's see the price first, but from the design I just love it.

The flaws in the first ones from HCigar were the wiring for the earth, I sorted that out easily with with a quick solder job.
For me it was a cheap feeling mod, the buttons weren't great, the paint I knew was going to come off over time, and not that long of time before it would imho
It didn't feel comfortable for me to hold and vape with, no it wasn't for me...

Looks pretty nice! I'm really happy with my HB DNA40, particularly at its price point. Use it daily and it's working well.

Does look interesting. Decent looking design to rival/surpass the Zero, nice dimensions, around the same size as a Hana by the looks of it.
As long as the build quality is there as well as the price point this could help reduce the prices of all DNA40 authentics.

On the HB50 the one and only button is just great, but I have no idea what buttons they used on the dna40 thou. I choose the silver version of the HB50, I also don't trust the painting, and the same goes for the IPV mini, where I also don't trust the painting. I like the design of this VT40 mod, and if the price is right it goes on to my wishlist in silver, don't trust the black :)

Been getting good reviews from what I've seen, looks very solid. I really don't like the badge on the right side though, or the flathead screw at the bottom. Lol

HCigar have always recognized my clame, but they expect me to pay 35usd in shipping for replacement parts as well as having to order something else. In effect to get my replacements for free I have to part with about 40usd by ordering another cheep atty or something. I get reminders still after 12 months. They also against agreement repeatedly shipped 3 packages worth 700usd via fedex strait into the hands of customs. One I managed to liberate, the others where returned. I managed a forced refund on one through Paypal. This took months of arguing and was not worth it.

If your going to get this, get it from a known good source, and don't expect any warranty or customer service from HCigar. For me an expensive mod is only worth it if I know there going to look after me. I know HCigar are not going to.

I like the mod, but I like so much. I only buy what I can get from one of the vendors attached to our forum. Think I'm to old to order from some other sources :)
