1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.
Are you looking to get started or an old hand at vaping? Everyone is welcome here so sign up today and talk vaping with us!

Fantastic news, along with the potential new laws to allow medical MJ it could be a particularly Happy New Year!

@Rowdy - this is very good news indeed! Wonder how long it will take to be implemented? ;)

While you should all be much happier Vaping safely(as should visitors to the Kingdom) let's hope the opportunity to Tax doesn't go to their greedy little heads.

Vaping in general is already considered too expensive by the average Thai, cigarettes are still sadly much cheaper in their eyes.

It will be implemented in time for the so called election. :yes sir:

This now goes to prove that was all about the tax and nothing to do with so called health care
from that so called "Health Minister":not good:

A bit of discussion on that other forum and the usual jerks knocking vaping
the ones that know nothing about vaping.

    Cheers

Yes, of course, this being a country where everything is clear as mud at the best of times. At the moment, the coppers are getting the money (and not the govt.)...once they've figured out how to tax it and it becomes legal, the coppers will have to come up with a new scheme. TIT ;)

Maybe one day it will happen, but I will not get my hopes up until it really happened.

Call me an old cynic, but I'm my heart I feel that it will only happen when the greedy bastards can make as much or more from Vape Tax than they do already from cigarettes.
    But I hope I'm wrong.

just study and copy as they mind with there own preference, the European regulation about: taxes , booster, gears, bottles, validation from a very special office for e liquid and shop certification, that's smell good already $$$$$ and the job is already done at 50/100.

Indeed. I suppose the news is better than no news at all but it'll need the Ministries with the ability to change the law to get on board. I suppose the best thing at the moment is that there is Ministry level discussion taking place. Meanwhile - status quo :(

As Sam said, the BIB will be well peed off if it does happen. I bet they've never had such a good bonus scheme.
