Going to Vientiane, Laos

Im planning to go to
Laos fr some time. Does anyone know anything about E-Cigs over there and where could I look on them?

try a google search to get the latest news, I think it is not illegal there but buying supplies may be difficult

 

Was just over in May walked around vaping kept it low profile of course didn't blow clouds in peoples faces LOL. Nobody said a damn word to me. Just lay low with your stuff common sense. Coming back through security girl stopped the machine asked about the device in my bag with the battery dug it out explained was electric cigarette got a smile waived me on through.

As for finding a supplier no clue. You might have to find an expat tugging away ask them. Sort of what i did when i first moved to LOS. Just waited till i saw other vape friends and found out where they got refills.

 

Was there recently. If you Google "vaping stores Vientiane" you will find several places that sell gear (limited number)--but it is all very low profile/facebook. Some liquids/gear can be found in the "night market" but all the liquid was 0% nicotine. One of the venders there indicated they had to be very careful what they sold. As advised above, keep vaping low-profile and I don't think there is any need to hide yourself completely.

 

As with any foreign country in SE Asia, ask a tuk tuk driver. If he doesn't know where to get things he will call one of his brothers that does.

 

Bumping this to get more info. My Thai family have family/friends in Laos and I live about 2 hours from the border, they tell me but I have my doubts lol, kinda hoping I have a new shipping address there to drive over and collect packages. Any know the legal status there. On google searches it comes up as being "unclear" . I'm still searching the web for info but the forum comes up most of the time. Lol. Thought I might as well just ask. Hehehe

Just got the information I want from a vendor in Laos. Apparently there are no laws relating to vaping there at this time but when in public common sense is a good idea, like here.

 

I only can say that saw E-Cigs (simplest one) in Duty-Free.

 

After searching FB and talking to a couple of vendors there, it appears that there is a quite vibrant vaping community with B&M shops in Vientiane. No restrictions on import of gear either apparently.
