So what is the difference between a Glassomizer and a Clearomizer? It doesn't seem to be about one having long wicks dangling inside the tank and the other one not, so I'm at a loss. Can someone please enlighten me?

The difference is one is made of pyrex glass and the other is normally polycarbonate etc.Hence why its called a glassomizer.Maybe have a look at this other forum for info .E-Cigarette Forum . You will find a wealth of knowledge on there as its the biggest of all the ecig type forums.

Cartomizer - replaceable atomizer, like the Boge's and such. Can be used with or without a tank.

Clearomizer - basically a clear cartomizer, built in tank, also disposable. Stardust's and CE4's.

Glassomizer - A clearomizer that uses glass instead of plastic. Generally has a replacable coil.

Top coil (clearomizer, glassomizer, whatevermizer) - Coil is at the top, with wicks hanging down. Vivi Nova, CE4.

Bottom coil (clearomizer, glassomizer, whatevermizer) - Coil is at the bottom, short wicks, gravity and usually vacuum fed. Protank, Aspire.

So if you see something like BDC, its a bottom dual coil. Don't get too hung up on it all, the names are basically just bullshit. Then there is RDA's, RBA's, Genesis style, Kayfun style, auto-drippers, squonkers (bottom fed drippers), etc. Then there are a million types of coils. Tons of wick types. Get a Kayfun and a good dripper, something easy like a Magma. Play around, don't try to learn it all at once. It'll make sense eventually.
