I’m moving back home and leaving Thailand. I’m aware of what should go in my checked luggage and what should go in my carry on.

    The question:
Will I have any issues going through security/customs?

You shouldn't have any issues as long as batteries of all types (i.e., loose batts or mods w/integral batteries) are in your carry-on luggage. Check with the airline on which you're traveling to see if they have any restrictions on the number of loose batteries you can carry (usually expressed in max. watt-hrs (Wh)). Security is there to ensure that what you carry on the plane (or load in the luggage hold) is safe for transport by air. Outbound Customs is essentially invisible...never experienced a Customs check leaving Thailand.

    Safe travel home!

@Gareth - if it were me, I'd leave the loose batteries here and replace them when you get home.

It's just less hassle especially for a complete relocation...one less thing with which to deal. Batteries are relatively cheap anyway. ;)

    UPDATE:

Got through without any issues at all. Kept the batteries as well. Just had one bottle of salt nic and MTL RTA with a unregulated tube plus batteries in my carry on bag.

Freebase juice and tools etc went in my checked luggage.
