A few days ago I came across a German video, where the reviewer used bamboo wool to make the wick on his kayfun atomizers. I have no rebuildable atomizers yet, but I'm wondering if you, who use them and now use silica or cotton would try bamboo wool ? I found an English video that is not as good as the German one to give you an idea, and I place a few links.

For the few Germans on here I link to the video, I first came across. He talks a lot but from 8:00 you can see how he makes the wick.

If some of you find something better better video or links please join in .

There is so much shit being spewed on the interwebs these days, I don't believe 10% of it. Silicosis from silica wick? No. Headaches from cotton? Bullshit. Psychosomatic crap, but hey, whatever makes people feel important. I'm all for bamboo, but I can't get it easily, so I don't use it. I'd love to try it, but I would want it in raw form, I have no interest in yarn form. While I'm sure it will wick, nice fluffy cotton will hold and wick more liquid than compacted yarn.

In The Netherlands we're still using bamboo yarn as wick,
but since midd last year, when koh gen do and Muji entered the scene, it is used way less.
Still it is wicking very well and when it's cooked before use, the flavour is excellent.
I'm using it with about 10-12 strands in a 2 mm coil in the Erlkonigin (1 strand in the channels and the rest cut above the 'shoulders')
