1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.
Are you looking to get started or an old hand at vaping? Everyone is welcome here so sign up today and talk vaping with us!

Not everyone sub ohm's down to this level such that it would be a problem. This is Pbusardo talking about the explosion at vapeblast during the cloud blowing contest. Someone had a 26650 clone turn into a pipebomb. It looks like someone pushed it too far with the sub ohming, like 0.10 kind of level.

the summary of the video is:
I dont know, I dont Know, I DONT KNOW .... well we see some shrapnells here and there but not a single person was hurt at all (which is good) but isnt it kinda fishy that there are close to none leftovers, i mean its like the plane crashing into pentagon where not a single proof of parts of the plane do exist.

I don't agree. The summary of the video is there are a lot of people experimenting with sub ohming that haven't a clue what they are doing. When an electrical engineer tells you that his equipment can't accurately test these sub ohm coils then that should say something about the equipment that vapers are relying on to give them accurate information.

Any sub ohm coil can do this under the right circumstance and with new mods hitting the market at 50/100 watts this is probably going to happen more often.

I think it also speaks volumes about clones and battery venting of all mods.

Apparently there is a video somewhere of the actual explosion but no one knows what the build was and the actual device was picked up and removed after the explosion by someone so that is why you aren't seeing more leftovers in the pictures.

The point is people have to understand that mechanical mods should be handled with care as in the case of a battery venting it could probably become deadly.

It is not only aout how low the ohms are but mostly about how fast shit can hit the fan in the case of a misuse, a mechanical mod should never be transported while containing its battery and the lock should be on at all time if you are not actually vaping on.

I will personally never buy one of these 50 or 100w mods, who needs to use that kind of power to produce vapor anyway....

Another point is it doesn't even have to be an extremely low ohm build....a build at .08 at the right wattage can definitely over amp the battery just as easily.

But these 50 to 100 watt mods are regulated devices with chips that (they should at least) should shut down when the batteries overload.

This is not the first accident with a mechanical mod and I think it's just fine that Pbudardo comment on it, as seen in his video. Except accidents with cheap ego's I remember another accident, where the person was really hurt. And the story on that was 2 low quality batteries in serial and a home made mod without vent holes. And now this. People have to be a lot more careful and know what they are doing. We the vapers are under attack from the EU, FDA and God knows how many different lobbying groups and an incident like this one is just helping our enemies with some fine arguments on the danger of vaping. So it must be in all vapers interest, that we talk about battery safety, vent holes in the mechanical mods, to prevent accidents like this one.

I wont trust a chip ade in China to save my life, then again 20w should be high enough to enjoy your vape on any kind of tank.
