1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

I like the eGo AIO units because of their size and simplicity. When I've used them for the first time and carefully followed the instructions they seems to work fine. Then after cleaning with a small cotton swab from time the taste can get so bad I replace the atomizer head.

I do the same procedure as before and moisten the new head, put in the juice compartment, and even wait 5-15 minutes. Then when I start it there is off a strong plume of smoke instead a pleasant vape experience. The unit also gets hot which is unusual. The new units used for the first time don't create any visible smoke at least with the Joytech or Hawk Sauce juice I've used.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I've tried both 1.0 and 0.5 ohm heads. It's frustrating tossing a new head out instead of enjoying a clean vape experience. Do I need to empty the old juice and swab the compartment dry completely?? I figure it's something wrong on my end but I don't know what. Or are some heads bad and this is the behavior?

Sometimes this doesn't happen and I can't figure out how to prevent the plume from occurring.

I’ve found that if top is put on too tightly, the juice doesn’t feed from the bottom. Try loosening the top and see if that helps.

    I'll try that, thanks.

I thought that might be the answer when I first put the top on looser but I don't think that's the problem. If it's too loose the juice leaks out and/or the light blinks because it's not satisfied with the connection or whatever. It's definitely a consistent problem no matter which new head I put in....smoke plume city!!! Very frustrating. I didn't have anything useful come back with a quick Google search.

It behaves this way with several iGo units/new heads so I know something's up. Maybe I should clean everything out and leave it to dry. Then put in a new head as if it's a new unit?!?

Any thoughts on this are appreciated. Again, I like this unit when it works.
