1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

Fastech sell some cheap e-cig storage solutions ... just raised sheets of perspex with different sized holes cut in them.

I'm very tempted to go to my local Artisan wood carvers and get them to knock some holes out off a bit of teak for me. I live in Chiang Mai and we have a huge supply of talented carvers.

But at the moment my ego-v just sits upright on my office table ... or occasionally lies down on the floor winded after taking a nose dive! :p

Ah, I didn't notice your location was CNX as well! I'm in Nong Hoy if you ever fancy a vape and a coffee =)

One of the crafters in Ban Tawai could definitely make up something nice I think. Only been there once but was very impressed with the place. My thought was to find a nicely carved ornamental flat top box and then re-purpose it by having the lid carved out to stand the mods upright in. Maybe 1 row of ego/iTaste sized holes and one row of 22mm mech sized holes. Bonus points for a drawer at the side that could hold some juice bottles and spare heads :)

I have noticed that most vapers seem to have a collection of e cigs . I have just bought one and after trying it decided to buy a back up so i always have a full battery. Are some far superior or what is the atraction in owning several. I at present dont know much just that i enjoy the one i have. There also seems to be lots of diferent bits to go with the e cigs tanks and such like. No dought i will learn more as i progress but at present the eGo-Vv3 i bought seems like the bees knees .I also bought the menthol liq as i have been smoking menthol cigs since i came to thailand nine year ago what would be a good alternative in flavour for a newby thanks peteinpatts..

Hi Pete, i guess most of us are at the same learning curve then you are ...

so just to make that clear, i am ZERO expert, i just got my couple of mods a few days ago.

From what i learned and read so far it seems that there are some genius atomizers, some people would give their left small finger for it :D

There is a Atomizer called Kayfun 3.5 or Kayfun Lite, where people seem to swear its best thing ever,
i also read about some Genesis Style Mod where the liquid gets pulled via a mesh and people seem to say its best ever taste

So in my book i ll get a cheaper Kayfun and a Genesis Styled (non original) the next days just to give it a shot ....
i started out with a eGo VV device which is nice, cant really say but i am tending to like the bigger 22 mm modes which dont have VV or VW way more, cant say i would realize a difference, and i dont see the advantage of the electronic gimmick yet.

if you want to get the cheapest possible version just by a replacement battery and a charger, you can get your crucial backup stuff for less then 400 Baht done.

I also just have the ego-v v3 at the moment. This + a cheap clearo + some juice is all you need to quit smoking and be a 'vaper' ... being an I.T guy I don't even -need- any spare batteries as my ego spends most of the day on pass-through!

But vaping seems to be a hobbyist thing, closer to pipe or cigar smoking than plain old ciggie smoking - as in there are things to collect, special edition stuff to display, and paraphernalia to fill up your draw space. My dad used to smoke a pipe ... of course you only need 1 pipe to satisfy the nicotine addition, but like most affectionados he had dozens! :p

Also a lot of people who go into 'dripping' seem to own -a lot- of rebuildable atomizers and mechanical mods ... but just youtube "sub ohm vaping" to see the kind of vape all that gear can get you! :D

going back to the OP, a lot is going to depend on your equipment. i try to keep my clearo upright so the coil stays wet but other than that i store it where ever i wont forget it :)

feel free to build a shrine, but i prefer to vape my equipment.... not worship it :thank you thank you

Well the spirits in my ego-v have been making it jump off the table so often that I am worried about the consequences of not giving them the box (or tooth brush holder?) they want ... and hey, a box is cheaper than an exorcism right?! :very good:

    okay.....

i was in Ban Tawai today and was talking to my wood carving friend today and before he starts prodcuing some stuff here some follow up questions on opionen we come up with,
words may fall appart, i am quite drunk ...

So a basic teak wood 3 - 4 cm piece of round wood shall have .....

12+ holes 23 mm diameter. 15 mm deep for the the Mods Body (their Atomiziers, and the itaste VV 3)
    - each of those 12+ goes even 5 mm deepter with a diameter of 8 mm for the Atomizers / Tanks so the Holes can be used to Body Mods and Atimizers and iTastte VV3 same time
2+ holes for the eGo Body 18 mm diameter. 15 deep,
6+ holes for the eGo Atomizers / Tanks, 15 mm Diameter, 15 mm deep

Each of the woords shall have a 60 long, 15 wide, 15 deep areea, to put wicks and wire

the rest of the wood is carved out 5 mm deept, for tools, juice, wahtsoever ....

we drawened a picture but i am atm, to drunk to upload, so ... as for the basic out put goes, you think its enoguht or need more or less per one device per wood storage center ...
my friend says it shoudl be possible to produce them in tsome teak wood below 500 Baht

    You are bang on sir!

I'm using bottom coils, so I want the mods upright. I'm not looking for a storage or display solution. I'm looking for something that holds them upright, but also makes it easy for me to grab the one I want to vape on. This is all about function over form. The FT stands cluster everything together too tight for my use and I'm not sure how the Innokin iTaste VV V3.0 will fit in the larger holes, but am reasonably certain it won't fit in the eGo holes. I know I can get a larger stand and then just space things out, but that makes for a larger foot print, which eats up space on a crowded desk.

Today I decided to try the ice cream container idea and it is actually working fairly well. I turned it upside down and cut holes in the bottom for two assembled modes and a spare eGo battery - all spaced apart, so they are easy to grab. Then I cut matching holes in the lid, which is on the bottom. This keeps the batteries from trying to slide at the base. The only problem I've run into is the two small buttons at the base of the Innokin hang on the plastic hole as I'm trying to pull it out. If I'm not careful I could upset everything and possibly break a tank.

I actually made two of these. The second one is for out on the patio and it does not have a third hole for the spare battery. The added problem with that one is its so light a strong gust of wind, which we have a lot of this time of year, will carry it away. So something quite a bit heavier is need for the patio stand.

Next time I'm in town I 'll look at some tooth brush holders, but I'm skeptical the Innokin will fit.
