I was using my Vaporshark DNA with the battery of >70% (estimated from the indicator) and suddenly the VS didn't fire up.

I tried two more time, and it fired about less than 0.5 seconds before it died again. So I look at the screen and saw that the battery indicator was down to empty.
That was weird because I just charged it last night.

Should I buy the new Li-po battery and change it? I'm afraid this battery issue will damage the DNA chip inside.

    Thanks!

i would say it depends on how old your devide is, you might still have warranty on it.

If the device is older then a year, it really could be that you need to switch out the battery, cause modern day LI notebook batteries are designs to be great for one year and then they massively drop in performance. I am no LiPo Battery expert but it sounds to be the same,

However imho you dont have to be afraid that your battery issues can damage the chip, i would give it anohter shot before deciding on new battery, cause they can be sometimes weirdos.

I remember seeing a video on you tube about resetting the chip.
I think it was pbusardo or grimm green
... Anyway, they said that you have Toey the battery completely discharge until there is nothing left in it..... Then charge it again all night..
    Hope this helps

Time for a new battery. Mine usually says around 30-40% when it dies, and mind you its only 3-4 months old. Not surprising that your VS is doing it at 70%. Battery indicators can only measure voltage and guess at how much you have left. Don't worry, I really don't think anything is wrong other than the battery being old.

Oh thank you Ryan. I'll manage to find the vendor who sells battery and get it replaced.
