i got both H(C)ana Modz clones from Cloupur the
DNA20 which i bought at FT link: $52.00 HANA MODZ Pack DNA 20 Style Mod - 1*18650 / 7W-20W at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
    DNA30 which i bought at Big-by-Pass link: Pre-orders Hana Mod (DNA 30) clone 1:1 (Round 3)

    Here some comparison
DNA20 - Auto Turn Off after 1 Minute
DNA20 - Auto Turn Off after 2 Minute, Display much brighter then the DNA20, on firing the display gets even more brighter

i never had issues that the device said, its too hot, the DNA20 kinda auto shutdown if its getting to hot, just without the error message,
it just fires only for very short time, and then shows welcome logo, however that was only happening on the DNA20 box so far.

as for heat protection of the DNA30 i cant really say, the device never cuts off so far, but the drip tip and the device itself is getting so hot, you really dont wanna touch it anymore.
although the whole point of the heat protection assumed to be if you carry the device around and the button is pressed by accident, cant really say whats happening in that case on the DNA30

The DNA20 shuts down the firing process after holding the button for 10 seconds
The DNA30 after clicking the firing process for 50 seconds, i released the button cause the device was getting soo hot it almost burned my fingers, however no autoshutdown there

ohh both devices where set to 20 Watts for testing.

on both devices my atty sits flush, however on the DNA30 it deeper to the +pole so lots of attys i have to extend the screw, if a atty doesnt have this feature it wont work on my DNA30

    ohh the
DNA20 from FT came with a Efest IMR 18650 with 2000 mAh for 1700 THB total
    DNA30 from Big came came withouth battery, for 3400 THB (800 down + 2600) + VTC4 260 THB - 3650 THB total

Oil, does your dna30 get hot during regular usage? My atty can get quite hot when vaping on high wattage (about 24w +), but my dna30 never gets hot at all. I often vape at 30w and the case always stays the same temperature to the touch.

I did leave mine in a hot car for a few hours one day, and the aluminum case got very, very hot then. I could not even hold it in my hand. But it wasn't from firing, it was just from the sun heating up a hot car.

A few odd things I noticed about my dna30:

    1. Sometimes, the screen comes on for no reason when the device is just sitting un-used on a table. It rarely happens - I think I've noticed it happen 2 maybe 3 times so far.

    2. My wattage goes up and down by itself randomly. Not by much. Ex: I'm vaping at 25 watts. A few minutes later, the watts will read 24.9. Then later 24.8. Then later, 25 again. Then maybe 25.1. It bounces around like that all on it's own.

    3. I also needed to extend the centre pin on my trident to use it with the dna30.

    4. Sometimes when the devices is off/sleeping, I click the fire button and it does not turn on. Clicking again, it will turn on. Not sure why I have to click more than once sometimes for the screen to start.

    5. My ohms readout changes sometimes also. I have a 0.8 coil that sometimes reads as 0.9. And I have a 1.0 coil that sometimes reads as 1.1. I'll look at it one minute and it says 1.0, then 5 minutes later it's showing 1.1.

    6. My 510 pin is ever so slightly crooked. It's almost not noticeable at all. But if you really look closely, you can see my attys sitting a tiny bit slanted.

I'm not surprised by these issues, considering it's a cheap(ish) mass-produced chinese clone. None of them seem like a big deal to me. It vapes great and for the price, I'd buy it again in a second.

LOL, i thought i was some how catching it with my finger even though I knew I wasn't....same same as mine

    Yep

Hard to say if mine is right or wrong, on my MVP it reads 0.9 but on the Hana dna 30 it reads 1.1, which one is correct, well I always found the Innokin ohm readers to be nearly spot on in the past...

    Same same....

Apart from that, this thing is a beast, it's like being a new vaper all over again, thick, smooth vapour in the mouth, my juices have come to life again with flavour....happy as a pig in shit...
Thinking of getting another one in another color....

i was writing about those issue @ FT board asking if the newer ones to have some upgraded firmware, besides there is no answer some guy answered this which i found sometimes helpful

    - current DNA30 seems to auto turn ON all by itself,
*I have used this mod quite extensively, and can say that I have NEVER experienced this happening.

    - on lots of attys you need to extend the center pin to make contact
*This sort of comes with the territory. There are plenty of devices that need to be adjusted to make contact with the center pin.

    - turning the device on, sometimes takes 1 click, sometimes 2, sometimes 3 clicks,
*I have had this happen one time, and upon investigating WHY it didn't happen consistently its because you aren't pressing down hard enough. If this is a concern, then press ANY other button to have the device turn on.

    - Ohms Reader flips around on same atty quite often
*You might need to check your atty. I have ran quite a few atty's on this device, all from .5 - 2.2 ohms and they have all been read consistently. My $70 multimeter reads them exactly the same as the clone and there is never any fluctuation from full charge to needing to replace battery.

    - Autoshutdown of the firing process doesnt work, if pressed it fires forever
    *CONFIRMED

    - if you click 5 times the device locks, the pause time between those clicks are on the DNA30 longer, hencer i often lock my device at normal vaping, which is just annoying
*The pause time is not longer at all, it is 1 second... 1.5s will not lock the device... 2s will not lock the device.. If you're having these kinds of problems, maybe a mechanical is more your speed, or use more than 3mg of nicotine to get your fix.

This is what I have noticed with the Cloupor Hanna Mod Clone! I cannot say that this is the same with THIS clone. However, since I have only seen reviews of the Cloupor clone and not this one with the Seam running across the top like that (Might I say...ewww?) the only way to verify that these problems do not exist on this mod is to see someone actually review it.

If you're that concerned about it, get the one that is known to perform better.

Oh, and for the issue of "to sub-ohm or not to sub-ohm"
On these regulated devices, you're going to get great performance regardless of what setup you use. Just keep in mind that if you use a .5 ohm coil it will only give you 3.87 volts...
Where as if you are using a 2.5 ohm coil it will give you 8.66 volts...

So, really, sub-ohming on this device is kinda..meh...not necessary like it would be on a mechanical mod.

(This is just my observation and it isn't even for this version of the clone. As stated, this clone is from a different manufacturer than the one EVERYONE is posting videos on)

i am curious about the ones Micky has added, if they are already newer ones, or same same

i have to admit a few of the things frightening me, but the vape of this mofo is just great
