DIY Magnetic Mixer

Nice box! From my tests it really didn't make much of a difference. I made one single batch and split it in half, one using the mixer and the other just shaking it up well and putting it in the cabinet. At the end of 2 weeks and 1 month there was nothing that I could distinguish between one or the other. As a result of that test, I shelved it. It was fun to watch, but at the end of the day instead of saving any time it just cost me more with having more stuff to clean up afterward. Give it a try though and see if you get the same results.

 

Some feedback:
After testing my DIY magnetic stirrer, i can say that it is a great help to get a really uniform mix.
Everything is well blended, and keep it that way along the time.
As for steeping, i don't see it shorten this step, maybe few days less.
Anyhow, i think you get better blend with magnetic stirrer.

That is a really great price for a mixer of this quality. Considering it also has a warmer, this could be a great companion for those who are impatient. Most of the professional ones that have these functions are $100+.

That was a pretty decent apple pie mix and I haven't made any in some time as I've been chasing after the perfect vanilla custard. I borrowed @debatedude as my guinea pig to test all of my new mixes and now that he has moved on, I need some new beta testers anyway. I presume you guys are volunteering?

 

I'd be interested to try what you've come up with. Tried various recipes myself. Although they've been my adv they're not really what I had hoped for.

 

My taste buds are not good enough for a beta tester.

But I am interested in the end product, especially when the beta testers say it is the best ever!

Why does that Nitecore Mixer have such a satisfing effect on me that I want to buy it?
