Devices you have recently pulled out of rotation/service

Like several other folks here, I have a pretty large collection of mods and atomizers that has grown and improved in diversity and quality through time. Some devices have now been "retired" from my normal rotation because they are no longer satisfying me as much as the others or not being used as much because of changes in my vaping preferences. I am curious to hear what devices others here have laid aside and for what reason. I think it could also benefit others who are looking at purchasing or dealing with the same issues with any of the equipment mentioned by us.

So what have you recently stopped using and why?

    I'll start:

    • Kanger Protanks - I like a more open airflow and in comparison to the Aspire Nautilus with BVC coils and the newer Aerotank Mega, the vapor and flavor production is lacking to me.
    • Kanger Aerotank - Airflow control is better for me compared to the Protanks but the quality of vapor and flavor is also just about as lacking. Recent purchase of additional Nautilus tanks has closed the door on my ever using these and the Protanks ever again.
    • 3D clone - In the past I considered this my out-and-about friendly atty for near-dripper quality flavor and while I still mostly like this hybrid tank-dripper, I stopped reaching for it because I found my other drippers produce noticeably better flavor and vapor. When I head out of the home, I prefer my RBAs and the Aspire Nautilus clearos for convenience and if my destination is dripping-friendly I just take my Plumeveil or Magma and a small bottle of some really good juice.
    • Vision Spinner I - I still have a Spinner II in the mix but had stopped using this older one because the battery capacity was more limited and I no longer really like the stick-like form factor. My Spinner II is probably soon to be pulled out of rotation as well.

    Great thread, Scratchy.

About christmas time last year I gave a load of my stuff to V for him to offer as a giveaway.

    I think dieter won it.

I was hoping that the 'pay it forward' would work out and others would be selfless and offer their unused vaping devices, tanks etc to newbies ... needless to say, it didn't work and many of the vapers here hoard their purchased and unused vape gear for whatever reason they choose.... we are all different right?

It seems that many forum members are ready to jump on me and justify their learning curve of buying vape gear, but not one of them has offered any sense of compassion for the newbie...... come on guys.... pay it forward

Nice thread my friend ! Here's my contribution ^^

Nautilus Mini : great clearo but it does not satisfy me as much as my Kangers. Vapor I get from it is not dense enough and I experience more gurgling on it than on my Kangers. Not really retire but haven't touch it since 3 weeks.

iClear X-1: this one officialy retire, I'll bring it to the meeting in October if someone wants it. I have probably being out of luck with the coils but even the design of the clearo itself is not doing me any good.

Spinner Vision 1: same reasons as Scratchy, my Vision 2 is even not sufficient for a daily use. However I keep the Vision 1 for emotional reason, he the one who got me off cig and I still think it looks amazingly flush with a Protank 3 Mini.

Devices I listed are already destined for new homes so that's why I didn't have any of them listed in the classifieds section. Some others that get pulled in future will likely end up there. Good recommendation you've made FL for people to put their unwanted items there.

I am sure you could have many takers for the Naut mini, Tibo! Surprised you feel it has worse vapor density than the Kanger...do you mean vs a Protank or an Aerotank Mega? My experience has been that the Naut mini does much better in vapor than the protanks and original version Aerotanks....but not a big amount better than the Aerotank Mega. I know a couple reviewers prefer the Aerotank mega over the Aspire.

Compared to the Aerotank Mega indeed.

I just don't find in the NM the density of the vapor I find with the Mega. Flavor wise I found the NM to work better with light juice such as my Bamskilicious but for my sweet juices like MBV Butterscotch or Moo Juice for instance, the Mega feels better.

Argh.. I think I am just blindly in love with Kangers anyway ^^

Thanks and I'll always welcome a gift beer!

You aren't alone in loving Kanger devices....so many people do! Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the Mega and your preferred types of juices between it and the Naut mini. I would definitely agree that the Mega does a really good job. My only knock on it is the way it looks like 60%-70% empty even after it's filled to it's max capacity and then looks completely empty when you still have a good amount of juice remaining. Haha!

Yeah I don't get that, same thing in the Turbo and the Giant, they need to listen to their customers somehow, that has been the biggest complain about it.

Good thread, Scratchy! Here's a walk down my vaping memory lane...

Ovale eGo-C Kit: this was originally intended to go to my buddy who was smoking 3 packs a day. Sadly, he had a stroke at the end of April just as we were going to do the hand-over. This will go into the classifieds shortly as a "freebie"...a free starter kit for a new vaper complete with an assortment of juices. The only downside to this kit are the (sometimes leaky) plastic cartridges...not the best design, and whoever gets it will want to pick up a decent tank or 2 quickly.

Ovale eVic: after I bought my first ProVari back in March, this became surplus to requirements. It has since found a new home (along w/the matching Siam Mods SS tube set) as part of a starter kit for the friend of a good mate.

Kanger PT2 Mini (2) & PT3 (w/Aero base): these never did it for me when compared to the Aspire ET-S & Anyvape Davide tanks (which I still use). Draw was too airy for my liking and the capacity was too small. These were in the eVic starter kit along with all the spare coils, o-rings and 100 ml of juice.

Innokin MVP 2.0: I had no intention of getting rid of this as it was great for vaping around the house and I liked the large capacity battery. However, when my mate who got me started vaping lost his ProVari, and was faced with a 10-day trip with only his old eVic for company, I loaned it to him to take along. He liked it so much that it is now his primary backup mod.

That it was, Tibo. Happily, the VS rDNA is a very capable substitute. Looks good, a bit smaller form factor, and vapes like a dream. If you're ever in the market to replace the MVP, I can highly recommend it.

I am seriously considering the VS rDNA not as a substitute but just for what it is, an awesome box !! Only hear great stuff about it.

The price the only thing stopping me right now to be honest.

The MVP is rock solid for the price, certainly not as highclass as the VS but for 1400thb, it's a killer.

Sold nearly everything I don't use.

    What I do have which I don't use is;

StingRay SS Mech mod (the switch sticks and that bugs me and I can't use a kick)

I had that problem on the brass Stingray clone. You'll need to disassemble the switch and put some lubricant on it/in it. A kick can be used on it but you'll have to unscrew the top a couple of threads and the bottom out a couple of threads to make space for it.
