    BANGKOK, May 22, 2014 (AFP) - Thailand's military on Thursday ordered all television and radio stations to suspend their usual programmes and show only the army's broadcasts in the wake of a coup.

    Everything closing where I am even 7/11 ' s. Too bad if you want a bottle of water. Luckily I have half a bottle of Johnny black in the room to greet me. Might have to drink it neat but thems the breaks.

    BA! Confirmed in Pattaya too. I walked up to my local 7-Eleven on Pattaya Klang and it's closed as are the Family Marts, Massage shops and Bars that I can see without walking too far. I can't believe it! The last time they had a coup and a curfew 4 years ago, everything stayed open as normal in Pattaya. I'm wondering why it's being obeyed this time . . . . what's so different?
