    Hi folks,

I am facing a slight issue with my Russian.

My resistance is 1.6ohms on the Russian 91%. I am experimenting peaks of ohms on the IVP2. 1.5ohms, 2, 3 and even up to 4 ohms. Every time I fire the mods the reading goes cray !

Being regulated and vaping smoothly at 11 watts, it getting crazy when the IVP is reading 4ohms @ 11watts !

I checked and rebuild the coil, all seems ok. The positive deck is not loose, the 510 pin seems to connect properly.

Now could it come from the box or would it be the Russian for sure ? Myabe this RTA is getting "old", part getting lose inside. I really suspect the 510 pin and the chaft going up in the positive deck.

    Any advices guys ?

Note: none of this problem with the Kayfun (reading at 1.1ohms) on the IVP2.

    Cheers boys!

there have been some IPV's that had this problem a while ago but it very well could be the pin on the atomizer....I had the same thing happen a while ago on a bad kayfun clone and eventually it came down to the pin...I didn't have another pin to replace in it so I set it to the side.

do you check the ohms when its cool? heat can effect resistance.

I check both yes as I build with the deck screwed on the ohm meter

If you have a volt meter (not a ohm meter, the one with two leads...black and red) around you should use that to check the ohmage on your atty. If it reading fluctuates then it's your atty, if not then it could be your device which you should check with the meter as well.

Also check all of the insulation on your atty. Did you dissemble your atty and wash and clean it thoroughly? Sometime these clone have metal burs in them left by the machining process. If not cleaned it may produce a short or fluctuating readings.

    Hope this helps...Jam

Many thanks for the advices. I do not have a volt meter though. But I think it comes from the loosen pin chaft. I tighten the positive block by tightening the inside chaft and it seems ok. But if I adjust the 510 pin, it messes up the chaft and I think this is what causing the roller coasting experience :)
