1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

    Cambodia is a communist government?

I wasn't aware it had even become a state.

I suspect that even if the rest of the world banned vaping, you could still do it in Cambodia.

Oh well, it just shows you how deep the claws of Big Tobacco sink in the Cambodian government. It's just now that CASAA and Dr. Farsalinos et al. are coming out with comprehensive studies on the safety of vaping, so its just a matter of time before it gets legalized everywhere. Once it is proven to be less harmful and the studies have been peer reviewed, no government can say they are acting within the interests of their citizens and ban vaping while allowing tobacco to remain legal.

In the meantime, Cambodia and Singapore are off my list of places to go. No big loss there.

I thought e-cigs were already declared illegal in Thailand. Is there a difference between illegal and banned?

E-cigarettes are legal in Thailand by themselves, however liquid nicotine is illegal without a (pharmaceutical) license.

I was stopped yesterday on the way out through security. X-ray identified MVP . After some scrutiny off to the side , the young officer called over her supervisor and when I explained to him what it was, I got a big smile and "no problem". They showed no interest at all in the 134 in the same bag. It was a slightly anxious moment. This was at BKK.

Just as well you left the Coolfire2 at home eh?

Singapore is a ghastly place, but i have a soft spot for Cambodia. Shame to see this, and no doubt the result of corruption. Of course if someone bungs some cash in the other direction it will be legal soon enough.
