A few months ago I made an impulse purchase ( you all know how that feels ) from Big. A real beauty, a copper Nemesis in all it's shining glory straight from the box. Alone she looked great but I was never overly happy with a SS or black atty on top of it so she just sat there.

After a while I notice this patina? and think it's not too bad looking so let it continue to the point where I'd forgotten how it should look. So, at a loose end a couple of nights ago I'm hunting around for something to build and out comes the KF mini. Quick build and nothing else to mount it on but the Neemy. Wow, stunningly ugly combination but stuck some GLV El Kamino in it and a very nice vape.

Lordy wept, I'm thinking I've gotta improve the looks on this monstrosity!! Pulled the Brasso out last night and spent a good 30 mins cleaning black muck off the Nemmy. Ahh, now I know why I actually bought it, a real beauty again. Get up this morning and she's already heading toward ugly as sin again. Now we've all looked upon beauty in the late evening only to wake up in the morning highly disappointed but I expect more from my Nemmy.

That's a convoluted way to ask you guys for any tips or tricks to keep copper mods shining.

Automobile clear coating seems to be a popular choice. I don't know how long it lasts for.

You may want to save your money on Jwraps, plus they're in the states, so the shipping from Hong Kong probably would be faster, and the prices cheaper. This is what I use and I think this is what Jwraps actually is. Invisible Clear Car Paint Protection Film Vinyl Wrap Sticker Sheet 4" x 30" AW | eBay

It won't completely stop any oxidation patina, just by itself. If you just wrap it, my naval brass nemesis turned green. What I did is that I put a layer of spray on clear coat (home depot/homepro style that will come off with acetone/nail polish remover). If you just spray that on your mod, it will rub off easily. So the way I got it handled is to seal it first with clear spray, and to create a complete seal of the metal. Once that is on and dry, then put vinyl clear wrap on it. It has a sticky back, goes on like tape. Once it is on, then heat it with a lighter and it will shrink wrap itself. Cut off excess with razor blade.

Also, as V linked to, if you just want to remove oxidation/patina, a white rubber eraser works. It will remove patina/oxidation in the same way it removes pencil lead from paper. Brasso, I have, I use, I like. But, Brasso has an abrasive in it. On the nemesis owner's group you can see that the markings have been completely removed by polishing it/brasso. (This is also why atmomixani switched to CNC engraving on their current batch of nemesis.)
