I may need new batteries. Was thinking of between these two at gearbest and wanted opinions.

    Samsung
    4 PCs of 3.7V 3200mAh 18650 Rechargeable Li - ion Battery ( ICR18650 - 32A )-16.39 and Free Shipping| GearBest.com

    VS
    Sony VTC4
    US18650VTC4 18650 3.7V 2100mAh Rechargeable Li - ion Battery 30A Discharge - 4 pcs-16.08 and Free Shipping| GearBest.com

I was going to buy the Sony's because I trust sony's and every sony I've bought has been rugged and lasted me a very long time.

But I have not tried the Samsungs and they are claimed to be 3200 mAh vs 2100 for the Sony. Of course, I have been burned before by manufacturer's claimed mAh. It may be a lower number, but that could be because Sony is actually honest about their batteries capabilities.

Opinions from people who have tried both?

Haven't heard of that Samsung battery or seen any talk about a 32A 3200mAh battery anywhere either. Having said that it probably means nothing. Samsung are a good reliable battery as are Sony. I don't believe that either Sony or Samsung exagerate their battery capabilities. Having said that the only way to check the Samsung stats would be from the Samsung site..

So assuming that they are real stats for both it is going to boil down to if they are real or fake.

I would check with Samsung to see if they actually make this and if that is a pulse rate or CDR. If a pulse rate, personally I would go with genuine Sony.

They Samsung are not 32 amp, it's an unfortunate naming issue. Plus they're ICR and you use mechanicals right?

^^Yes, though I am using the same batteries to switch between regulated and mechanical. Didn't notice the ICR thing for the Samsungs. So I guess I am leaning towards the Sony's unless someone has a better suggesting. (Which I am open to.) (And thanks, Rick.)

For mechs you can't go wrong with Sony VTC4 or VTC5 as long as they are authentic. Samsung 25R and LG HE4 are good choices as well if the Sonys are unavailable.

Sourcemore have Samsung INR 25R's. 3.6 v, 2500 mAh. Ordered four a few days ago. 18.88$, free shipping of course. They are not the fastest company, but my orders have always arrived. Good for genuine Aspire products, don't have to bugger about with gift certificates or Bitcoin like FT.

Last time I checked, Illumination Supply in Northern Cali had genuine Sony VTC5's for a decent price...and you can trust them, which is more than can be said for most of the Chinese suppliers!

Thanks for the tip. VTC 5 are $7,50. How long do they take to get here and what shipping method would you recommend?
