Makes me wonder if they even test this stuff at all before it hits the market.

Sounds like they're singing a different tune now. In the vid he says he brought this problem to the attention of Kanger and they basically told him to "f**k off." Same old story, a solitary voice and the higher ups just dismiss you as a nutcase but put it out there on the Net and one voice becomes 100 . . . 1,000 and more. Good on this guy for watching out for us, kudos!

 

Clarification for those who did not notice - Bad news on the Kanger Subtank RBA component. The stock coils appear to have no issues....at least let's hope not.

 

Very scaring indeed. Kangertech should learn, that the community of vapers are not there guinea pigs. When I think back on the long line of shitty products they blessed the community with, all because they where not able to get the coil right, and now this, I just wonder how long this will be going on before we just don't buy there products any more, or wait 6 month to see if that is really worth it.

i'm thinking maybe, just maybe, they ran outa the proper delrin insulators at the chinese factory and some idiot worker used silicon instead - or, as one comment on the FB page says: use normal juices and this won't happen

I'm still hesitant to use the RBA part until Busardo or someone else gives it the all clear.

Everyone relax..... It's the juice!. Pluid is well known to dissolve plastic and rubber. Pluid will eat insulators, eat o-rings, cause plastic tanks to go foggy, and crack plastic tanks. It eats plastic! I'm sure the insulator is just fine for the majority of juices out there unless it has anise or heavy cinnamon. Use it in a Kayfun and watch what happens to your plastic tank!....doesnt make the Kayfun garbage! Agreed, the insulator should be Delrin or Peek, not regular plastic.

Silica? Really. Silicone maybe. That being said. If you do love the tank like you say you do, maybe change juice. Pluid has been known to cause respiratory problems with people who drip. I've had the sub tank beta and have used citrus and cinnamon flavored juices and have had zero issues. Now with that being said, I would like to see a peak insulator in it. But my issue is with the juice. After all the bad reports on Pluid, I'm surprised people still vape it. Not ripping you brother. I'm happy to see consumers posting their findings. China IS listening, hence the Sub Tank, Atlantis and soon the Innokin series. Keep up the good work with your posts. They are listening.

Prior to its release to the market, the Kangertech Subtank has gone under a series of functional tests. We have tested using various different brands of e-liquid including different compositions of PG/VG and nicotine level and concluded to the release of the Kangertech Subtank. In addition, the plastic insulator used in the Subtank is of the same material used in the EVOD. As this has never happened before with Kangertech products, we would like to ask you to send us the information and specifications regarding the ejuice(s) that you have been using with our Subtank to further investigate. Our investigation on this matter is already in effect. Thank you for your time.

Just for the record, Pluid will melt ANYTHING. Including glass over time... Pluid is the worst of the tank crackers ever..

Well Well, Looks to me like you are a bit to fast on the trigger. think Kanger ever heard of Fluid? Everyone knows it is one of the most aggressive e-liquids out.
I see they responded very professionally.
Maybe next time you see an issue, you could contact the Manufactured instead of whining on Youtube non stop.
I always appreciate a warning, but have no use for a whining.
A major issue would be one that effects most users, not a select few, but I agree they should address this.

and .... What the hell are you calling Silica Gel? Have you had the part analyzed? I think your product assumption is incorrect.

+Tejay Aplin Loss in Translation - Silicone part. Not exactly the same, but yes, they need to update and supply Venders with spares for customers that require an upgrade. For most e-liquids the pads should work fine.

 

pbusardo (back from China) talks about the plastic insulator issues in the subtank RBA at the start of this review of the cloupor mini. He says he has also been having a problem with tasting the plastic and Kangertech have told him that they are replacing the insulator with one made from peek. Skip forward to 2 mins 20 secs.
(also does a good review of the Clouper mini)
