I like my Endura T18 units but of course eventually ran out of replacement coils. I was happy to find some domestically recently but the two I've used taste pretty bad. They are Prism brand from China. This is my first bad experience with any vaping equipment and I'm wondering why?

Does anyone know if this problem is because they are from China or have any other thoughts on this?

Are they third-party coils (i.e., clones) or the original Innokin OEM coils?

And, from where were they purchased?

I'm guessing they are clones but I'm not an expert. How does one tell the difference? They came from thaivapemall. They look like the Innokin ones as far as the packaging appearance once you open the Prism box. Brown plastic sealed wrapper, etc...

For the record, I'm using the same good quality juices I've used with all the other original units which all tasted fine. I could just try another to see if it was just bad luck with the first two coils.

Is there a scratch-off security code that you can check on the Innokin website? That would be the only way I know to tell...and there are some reports of that process being hacked (not specifically for these particular coils).

Otherwise, try #3 and/or to find another box from another source... ;)

If everything else is the same, it has to be the coils.

This is the reason, I dont like to buy coil heads,

More easier to make your own coils, using a coilmaster...

If only they had an RBA for the Nautilus BVC coils...but that said, I've rarely had a bad coil and I've gone through a lot of those suckers. Some last longer than others but in general, they all vape the same out of the box. :D

it was possible to get a Nautilus RBA Deck Rebuildable Head, but I'm not sure it can be available now.

There still is, but it is too small for anyone to put a coil in.

Seems to have passed the security code test. I don't believe anyone else sells them domestically. I'll try one more and see if I just had bad luck with the first couple. Thanks.

Please enter the device's unique Authentication Code in the field below to verify that it is a real Innokin product. Note: the code requires capital letters, and no spaces.

Excellent! The unique Authentication code has been verified; the device is an authentic Innokin product. Thank you for choosing Innokin.

LOL. I can manage acceptable single coils OK still, but making a matched pair of duals is now beyond me, even with a pair of 3.5 reading glasses and a magnifying glass, both bought for that reason!

Agree with you (at 40 or 50 you still begin to have problems: just the live), it's why I like some of the new generation deck RTA RBA, some have a so big space that coiling is just enjoy compare to an old Orchid or a small atlantis rebuilding desk head.
Some clounds chasing gears are still good (a good compromise) for flavor MTL gears. It not easy to pick the one you'll like for sure but feedback on forum and google help a lot.
